No smoking is allowed on the nature center's property. All smoking and vaping must be done off property.
Parking is available at the venue on a first come first serve basis. This is a public park that will remain open until dusk. Patrons of the park will have access to the parking lot as well. Great question! We are having a Kid-Friendly wedding and allowing plus ones! As much as we would love for each and every person join us and be apart of our celebration, we do need to be mindful of our people occupancy. If your little one is invited to our big day, or you have been allowed a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation. Please respect our choices and plan accordingly. Thank you!
We want you to feel your best and enjoy a night out! We are requesting a semi-formal dress code for our evening. Please no blue jeans, sneakers, or white! (unless you are the bride)
We will be having an open bar for our cocktail hour and reception. The bar will be temporarily closed during dinner and speeches, so make sure to get a drink beforehand. For the safety of our guest we will only be serving beer, wine, and seltzers. If you appear intoxicated, or like you had enough to drink, the bartenders will not serve you. If you fight with them, you will be asked to leave.
Both! The Rookery at the Berks Nature Center is a great venue that has indoor and outdoor settings. The ceremony will take place on the rooftop deck which is covered. Cocktail hour will happen outside in the breezeway/lawn where there is small covered area. Dinner will take place indoors. The reception will follow on the covered rooftop deck.
