Question

Answer

Franklin's View is an outdoor venue in Franklin Square Park. There is a roof.

Question

Is it black-tie?

Answer

No. It is not.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Formal Garden Party Attire Your optimal target for dress attire should be cool and comfortable. You're wearing threads that make you look good, which make you feel good. You're wearing an outfit that won't make you overheat. Does a suit work? Yes. How about a heavy wool suit? No. It's May. Dress to the nines while leaving room for ventilation. The only requirement is the dance floor.

Question

When should we arrive & depart?

Answer

We would love if you joined us for the entire weekend. We will have a welcome party on Saturday, 5/20 at 5:30 pm for those who have arrived. The wedding is on Sunday, 5/21 at 5pm. We have blocked rooms at hotels for Saturday & Sunday. It is likely that the bride & groom will be entertaining family during the day on Friday, 5/19. If you are considering staying over on Friday, 5/19, please let us know!

Question

Is there transportation for the event?

Answer

While we did not secure transportation for the event from the hotels, there will be a complimentary valet at the venue should you choose to drive. The Wyndham is a 7 minute walk from the venue. The Kimpton Monaco is a 10 minute walk from the venue. We apologize for any inconvenience this presents. The venue is in a fairly easy location to coordinate an Uber or Lyft. Taxis are an option, as well.

Question

What are your favorite neighborhoods in Philly?

Answer

Fairmount, Rittenhouse, Fishtown, Northern Liberties, Old City

Question

What is the best cheesesteak?

Answer

Tier 1: Jim's Steaks (*burned down. sad*) Dalessandro's, Manayunk ----- Tier 2: Pat's King of Steaks, Passyunk Geno's Steaks, Passyunk Angelo's Pizzeria, South Philly Woodrow's Sandwich Shop, South Street ----- Tier 3: Tony Luke's, various locations Campo's, Old City Sonny's Famous Steaks, Old City Steve's Prince of Steaks, Burbs ----- Would not recommend: Joe's Steaks & Soda Shop, Girard Ave. ----- If a cheesesteak sounds gross to you, get yourself a slice of tomato pie (the local Philly favorite) aka a room temperature slice of bread with tomato sauce. Favorites include: Liberty Kitchen (Fishtown), Pizzeria Beddia (Fishtown), Sarcones (South Philly), Cacia's (South Philly) and the OG Corropolese (Burbs).

Question

Should I go see the Liberty Bell?

Answer

Eh. If you'd like, you're able to buy tickets to see it indoors. Instead, we recommend that you walk to the window overlooking it and take a picture there. Save yourself the time and continue strolling.

Question

Have the Philadelphia Eagles won a Super Bowl?

Answer

Yes. In 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.

Question

Thoughts on Gritty?

Answer

Best mascot in professional sports.

Question

Was 'The Process' a failure?

Answer

No. Trusting the process brought Joel Embiid, James Harden, Tobias Harris, Tyrese Maxey, Jimmy Butler, Ben Simmons, and many others to a city rich in basketball history. This is objectively better than the consistent mediocrity of being an 8-seed with the likes of Spencer Hawes, Thaddeus Young, and Michael-Carter Williams.

Question

Is Ahmed a homer?

Answer

Yes, he's from Philadelphia. Worse, he's from Delco.
