Please send a RSVP response for both the Welcome Party and the Wedding by April 17th.
No, there is not a room block. We want to allow flexibility in where guests choose to stay as there are so many options in Austin. We did recommend several options on the Travel Page of the website for anyone looking for guidance on where to stay!
Our wedding is cocktail attire, and for Spring in Texas we suggest: for women cocktail dresses that are mid to ankle length dresses, or elegant separates. For men, suits with or without a tie would be appropriate. We encourage people not to shy away from color and to keep in mind large parts of the evening will be outdoors (no grass to be concerned by but the temperature and sun may be a consideration)! For the welcome party, this will be a more casual event. Attire could include more casual dresses, sandals, skirts and tops, or dressy pants. For men, button downs or collared t-shirts, shorts are perfectly acceptable as well.
For the wedding, there is limited parking available, about 50 parking spots in an uncovered parking lot next door. The Allan House is downtown though, and a short Uber ride from any of the recommended hotels. For the welcome party, there is a paid parking garage adjacent to the restaurant. Similarly, this venue is right downtown and very accessible.
The ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM. You may arrive at the venue though as early as 5:00 PM, we recommend you arrive with some time to spare!
The welcome party will be a more casual event meant to kickoff the weekend and welcome everyone to Austin (we are so excited you will be here with us to celebrate). There will be an open bar and some light food. The event will be held later in the evening to allow for you to settle in and grab a fuller meal before heading over!
