Flight
This will be the main airport option for our out-of-towners.
Flight
This small airport North of Seattle (and closer to Whidbey Island) has recently expanded. Make sure to check out flight options through here as well as SeaTac.
Travel Note
Those flying into SeaTac will need to drive to the Mukilteo Ferry terminal (about an hour north of the airport). This is a drive-on (or walk- or bike-on) ferry to Whidbey Island that leaves about every 30 minutes and arrives at Clinton (45 mins from Captain Whidbey Inn). Reservations are not necessary.
Travel Note
For those wanting a more scenic road trip, driving onto the north side of the island and stopping at Deception Pass State Park is a great option! Traveling from Seattle, we suggest you drive north on Interstate 5 and take exit 226. Turn left onto state highway-536W until you reach state highway 20, a two-lane roundabout (stay in the left lane). Turn left and travel about 4 miles until you cross over the Deception Pass Bridge onto Whidbey Island. It's about a 30 minute drive to Captain Whidbey Inn once you're on the island.
Travel Note
This shuttle service is a great option for those not wanting to rent a car. The shuttle will deliver guests to downtown Coupeville, but folks will need to fend for themselves at that point. Uber and Lyft are not super dependable, but there are a few taxi services available on the island (Ault Field Taxi LLC, South Whidbey Taxi co, and Safe Ride Home Whidbey Island co).
