This walk is just a bit longer and climbs more in elevation than the Boulder Falls hike. For your effort, you'll be rewarded with cool rock formations and beautiful views overlooking the city and the surrounding mountain scenery. Minimum distance is around 1 mile, with numerous options to extend on the surrounding trail system.
Hiking Green Mountain is for those who really want to get after it and vibe on Colorado mountain sports. It's well worth it though as the summit offers panoramic views of the jagged Indian Peaks Range, which is a part of the Continental Divide and home to some of the most impressive mountains around. My favorite route is from Gregory Canyon Trailhead, which is a round-trip of roughly 5 miles and climbs roughly 2,500 feet in elevation! Don't be surprised if amid your huff and puff you look up and see someone running past! For a less challenging variant, try it from the West Ridge, which still delivers you to the summit, just with a bit less slog. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/colorado/green-mountain-west-trail
Pearl Street Mall is another must-do Boulder classic. Attractions include shopping, restaurants, and street performers, but honestly it's worth a stroll just to experience the lovely scenery and vibe of downtown. Pairs well with The Peoples' Crossing hike, the Boulder Creek Path, and Avanti Rooftop
I might be even more in love with the Boulder Creek than the mountains. Need I say more? Nothing helps me find my inner-calm like the sound of rushing water, perfume of plant-life, and a canopy of green above. If you're feeling bold, try an ice-cold dip to invigorate the senses! Pairs well with Pearl Street, The Peoples' Crossing hike, and Avanti Rooftop
This is an awesome place to enjoy the scenery and a relaxing happy hour at the same time! Pairs well with The Peoples' Crossing hike, Boulder Creek, and Pearl Street
It's no secret that you can't spit without hitting a good brewery around here, but Avery stands out for a few reasons. First off, even though they are widely distributed, many of their best brews never leave the taproom, so there's lots of interesting stuff you can't taste anywhere else. Second, they've got a great space and ambience, plus a solid kitchen specializing in bbq. But the coolest thing is that you can take a self-guided tour of their brewery any time, which is super fun for anyone who loves beer but maybe hasn't had the change to take a look under the hood.
Rocky Mountain is a bit more of a commitment, but worth considering if you've never had the chance to visit. Every way you look is another breathtaking vista. Highlights include driving Trail Ridge Road, visiting Glacier Gorge, or consulting the welcome center for activities in your desired difficulty band. I'd recommend this if you are planning to extend your trip and spend a few days touring Colorado in addition to the wedding.
