Maid of Honor
Title: Little sister of Mikayla Special Skills: She can say 7 words in Spanish; she can jump to conclusions faster than anyone; she's never met a chicken breast that she didn't overcook. Weakness: Doritos From her entrance into the world until now, she has been my number one supporter, confidant and friend. Although we went through a rough patch in 2004 when Katlyn finally decided to fight back and grow her nails out to scratch me during our battles for who had power over the remote (still have a scar). I always said I wanted my future spouse to challenge me in the same way she does and she has been the biggest cheerleader for my relationship with Max, challenging me to thrive in our relationship together every step of the way.
Best Man
Max and I have been friends for long enough that we often say or do the same thing simultaneously. That could be the result of too many lates nights playing improv games, or if astrology is your thing then maybe it's that Max was born the day after me. I'm only a little bitter that he's found Mikayla to replace me. Regardless, I'm honored to be his best man, and I'm stoked for the wedding!

Title: Member of the "three musketeers" at Milligan College Special Skills: She's right 100% of the time even when google says other wise. Weakness: Long islands Olivia has always said exactly what's on her mind which is my favoirte thing about her. Throughout college and post-grad, Olivia was the person I would go to when I needed a get it together talk. When I think of friends that SHOW UP for everyone in their life, Olivia is the poster child. Always there for a 5 minute chat even though she's in the middle of something or always their to drive from her hometown in Maryland to any where in the country to support her friends. I am her biggest fan and I am so glad she get's to stand with me on this day of days. Thank you for the quiet moments of our friendship when you bravely let me in

As Max's older brother, I've known Max since the day he was born. He was a heavy baby, and I was 6, but my parents trusted me enough to hold him. I didn't drop him - you're welcome Max. At some point in my preteen years I started bribing toddler Max with chocolate cake, I've never honored those bribes. My plan was always to show up at his wedding with an unreasonable number of chocolate cakes. But Max is smart, and decided to hold is wedding in a foreign country. An obvious attempt to foil my genius plan... Max is a great little brother, he's always up for sibling shenanigans no matter if they involve cardboard boats, or french golf carts, or building a shed in the dead of winter. I'm so glad he found his counterpart and can't wait to formally welcome Mikayla into our family.

Title: Forced first friend and eventual roommate at Milligan College Special Skills: has watched the office 30 times all the way through and even though she owns all seasons, she still watches it on Netflix. Weakness: Toffee nut and white chocolate cold brew Although our beginnings were akward and neither of us loved the idea of traveling cross country from TN-IL on roadtrips to and from home, our long roadtrips laid the foundation for a friendship that is rooted in transparency and realness. Charlotte from day one was a friend that always was 100% a friend who feels like home. From being roommates, to buddies outside of school, always intentionally keeping up our pattern of roadtrips to each other, Charlotte has been a quiet consistency that I have grown to count on deeply.

Having shared a bedroom until our older brother moved to the basement, Max and I were very close growing up. Always being referred to as the "little boys," even after we both grew taller than our older siblings, we always were paired together. Even our birthdays are only one week apart. I've always looked up to my big brother and think he's a pretty great guy, even if he was a pain sometimes. I'm so happy for him and Mikayla. I'm so honored to be included on their big day and can't wait to enjoy Mexico with everybody!

Title: Best Friend from Grad School Special Skills: Her diet consists of only ice cream Weaknesses: ICE CREAM We bonded over social akwardness and a love for geniune wholehearted relationshiops as we sat by ourselves at a busy bar where everyone else was dancing the night away. From there, Taylor has been the person I call when I need to be grounded, my therapist, my friend, my person to call when I need to be reminded of who I am. From day one of our friendship, we have used the language of one of our favorite social worker's and authors, Brene Brown, who speaks about the need to live wholeheartedly in order to feel seen, known and understood, the root of this having the bravery to be vulnerable with others. Thank you for connecting with me on a soul sister level since DAY ONE!

I met Max when we had the good fortune of sharing a suite together freshman year of college and quickly became good friends. We liked the arrangement so much that we lived together for the rest of our time at St. John's. I credit Max for the respectable B I got in organic chemistry and we made a killer team, getting out of chem lab early every week. I am married to my wonderful wife Pati and we have a 2 year-old daughter Jay. Max was a groomsman at the wedding and I'm honored to be one of his.

Title: RA teammate and personal cheerleader from Milligan College Special Skills: She can recite all the human bones in 8 seconds. Weakness: Blueberry sweet tea from Dunkin….or cheese. When I think of Sarah, I think, everyone's favorite person. She is so many people's person to laugh the hardest with, often catching me as I am doing something weird and having a "out of body experience" or having a "homie" (home schooler) tendency moment as she likes to call them, never wasting a opportunity to make fun of me. It has been so fun to watch Sarah shine in every situation she has gone in, leading with love and humor in everything. Thanks for all of the quiet moments where you encourage me to live my truth where ever I go or in the big moments when you're the first to scream with excitement!

Dane is a good friend, but terrible adult. Dane will probably send Max his bio 2 years after Max's wedding. He attended St. John's with Max where he took Mandarin Chinese as his language, because he couldn't plan well enough to register for courses even close to on time and it was the only option. Dane also accidentally minored in philosophy and recently retired from his job as a boat hobo. He now currently lives with his parents. Bio by Steve Anderson Self-Portrait by Dane Ewing
