Meet the soon-to-be stars of this "engaging" production!

Alex

Best Man

Jerica has often joked that Max is the textbook definition of man, but Alex leveled up to being the handyman mascot on a pack of paper towels. Alex is real outdoorsman, works with his hands, and currently following the footsteps of his parents serving in the Navy. When he's not admiring his craftsmanship, he's enjoying craft beers. What can be said about the guy you grew up with? Max responds, "He's my brother. I've known him my whole life." If that's not the right man for the job of Best Man, then who is?

Emma

Maid of Honor

Against all odds, Emma and Jerica were probably the only randomly assigned roommates to stick together after freshman year. Intensive Facebook stalking suggested that these polar opposites should NOT have gotten along as well as they did, and yet, few are closer than "Jemmica." Jerica, Max, and Emma have known each other since freshman year at UIS. A somewhat sarcastic quote from the tv series Daria would have you believe that "all that matters in a relationship is that you like the same pizza toppings," but perhaps true soulmates are the ones that can split an unwanted pepperoni, sausage, olive, and mushroom pizza between carnivore and herbivore in the dead of night in a college dorm after all the other dining services are closed.

Jared

Groomsman

Jared is the newest to this friend group, but has been a lifelong friend and now boyfriend to Tabbitha. He quickly integrated into the group, sharing goofy memes, awful puns, and delicious delicacies. He is the proud owner of the world’s most adorably manipulative cat, and is perhaps the only person that can constantly wear a leather jacket and ride a motorcycle without looking like a cliche. Max is certainly appreciative of having another “bro” to “bro out” with.

Tabbitha

Bridesmaid

A running joke in the friend group is that Tabbitha was a part of the series unaired pilot episode, but she made her comeback debut by junior year after she was frequently spotted in the background at random events that the friend group found themselves at. UIS divided it's incoming students between Founders Hall and Lincoln Hall, and the assigned course-load made sure these two groups could never interact except for campus events. Tabbitha became something of a fan favorite, and was quickly incorporated into the main cast by junior year, which should surprise no one. Her genuine excitement to meet new people and learn new things always leads to wacky adventures and somehow a lot of free merch.

Andrew

Groomsman

If you were on an adventurous quest, Andrew would be your party guide. Without him, the group may not have formed. Andrew was the resident advisor for Max, Emma, and Jerica’s freshman year. While the young freshman had crossed paths now and then, it was Andrew who would offer his wisdom, his entertainment, and his leftover horseshoes, a Springfield delicacy. Many of the group’s adventures were embarked upon either with Andrew or on Andrew’s behalf, and they just as much took care of him as he took care of them.

Breia

Bridesmaid

Breia and her family have been friends of Jerica's since high school at Kenwood Academy. Breia was a couple years younger than Jerica, so they didn't tend to hang out. Jerica usually hung out with Breia's older brother, Brandon. Brandon was also notoriously hard to get in contact with, so Breia often ended up being the messenger, delivering info from Jerica to Brandon when possible. One day after trying to invite Brandon to an outing by calling Breia, Jerica realized she enjoyed the conversations she'd have with Breia while awaiting Brandon's return. And so she said, "you know what, Breia? Do you wanna come?" And the entire Pryor clan - no matter which one you manage to get a hold of - have been livening up the party ever since.

Brandon

Wedding Singer

Brandon is Jerica's oldest friend and strangest ally (and yes, she means strangest, not strongest). When Brandon transferred to Kenwood Academy High School, who knows what he expected. Probably not Jerica, the seemingly quiet, hoodie-wearing, "preppie" from Kenwood's Academic Center for particularly precocious 7th-graders now working her way through her junior year. With the introduction of Brandon, the two become a tornado of absurd vernacular and questionable fashion choices. And while their paths after high school may have drifted, that odd GPS that navigates their friendship loops them back together every once in a while. Because it's not a party without a Pryor.

Eric

Officiant

Max and Jerica’s relationship blossomed through their time in college in the Capital Scholars Honors Program, and on the Forensics Speech & Debate Team. So when the time came to pick a wedding officiant, the obvious choice was their former CAP advisors/speech team coaches! This half of the officiating duo is Eric, an accomplished author, loving dog dad, and avid Cubs fan. While his energy levels may not have matched that of his rambunctious collegiate mentees, he put up with them all. Eric helps to bring the balance and put on a show, and we can’t wait for his help on this grand production.

Nicole

Officiant

Max and Jerica’s relationship blossomed through their time in college in the Capital Scholars Honors Program, and on the Forensics Speech & Debate Team. So when the time came to pick a wedding officiant, the obvious choice was their former CAP advisors/speech team coaches! This half of the officiating duo is Nikki, a crafty crocheter, cuddly cat mom, and baking baddie. Nikki was always up for desserts and probably enabled her sugar-crazed collegiate mentees a bit too much when it came to eating on trips to speech tournaments, but she heard no complaints from them. Her sunny disposition is bound to shine on our special day!
