Father of the Bride
If I had to describe my dad in one word it’d be admirable and I could list a thousand reasons why. My dad is a patient, loving, protective and thoughtful husband. He’s a selfless, hardworking and supportive father. He’s been a living example of the kind of man I wanted to marry and the kind of father I wanted for my future children. Dad, thank you for all the valuable lessons you’ve taught me. You’ve taught me to have good work ethic, to be humble and to have faith. You’ve taught me the importance of “work hard, play hard.” My dad has supported me in everything I’ve done in my life and I wish I could put my gratitude into words. Dad, even though I’m getting married soon, I will always be your little girl, don’t ever forget that. You’re such a blessing in my life and I love you so much.
Father of the Groom
I want to thank my dad for all that he has taught and given me in my life. My love for music, history, and learning all came from him, and I know I could never hope to be the same person without him. Thank you for always looking out for me, and for providing for us. You've taught me the importance of pursuing my dreams, and that if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. I love you, Dad.
Mother of the Bride
The older I get, the more I’m told that I look and act like my mother. I personally believe that’s the best compliment I could receive. I’ve looked up to my mom my whole life. My mom truly is my best friend and I know I can count on her for anything. Thank you for all the advice, love and support you’ve given me, Mom. I don’t think I could ever repay you. Thank you for navigating me through every stage of my life. Thank you for giving me the confidence to take on the world. Thank you for being patient with me. Mom, you’re one of my favorite people to be around and I often catch myself wishing you were with me. You’ve shown me exactly what kind of mother I want to be to my future kids. I’m so blessed to have you and I love you so much. I don’t know what I’d do without you.
Mother of the Groom
I want to thank my mom for always supporting me, for her many life lessons, and for always being there for me. My mom has always been, and will always be, the person I go to for advice. She's taught me the importance of family, self-confidence, and conscientiousness. She has guided me and taught me so many valuable lessons, I know there is no way I could possibly thank you for all she has done for me. I love you, Mom.
Matron of Honor
Brittnay is my cousin but I think of her more like my sister and best friend. She's looked after me since the day I was born. She protects me, encourages me and "moms" me when she needs to. I've known since I was a little girl that Brittnay would be my Matron of Honor. I've had the joy of experiencing every chapter of life with her and I can't wait for all the ones to come. She has a heart of gold and her strength is such an inspiration. Brittnay makes me feel like she's my #1 fan and I can't express enough how much I love her! I know we will be best friends till our last day on this Earth. Everyone needs a Brittnay in their lives!
Best Man
No one knows me quite like my baby bro. It's hard to put into words what it's been like growing up with a brother like Simon. He is the most genuine, honest, and true-to-himself person I know, and I am blessed to have been able to watch him grow into the young man he is becoming. Not only has he taught me the value of curiosity, but also the importance of virtue. I am truly lucky to have someone like Simon standing next to me on my special day as my Best Man. Love, Max Simon, I’m so excited to have you as a younger brother. You see the world differently than most and that’s what makes you so special. I love the brotherhood and friendship you and Max share and we’re so excited for you to be a part of our special day. Love, Shelby
Bridesmaid
Abby was my right hand woman in college. Our picture is from the day I met Abby at orientation the summer before our Freshman year and we clicked instantly! After only knowing each other for a few hours we decided to make identical class schedules and pretty much continued to do so throughout all four years of college. We cried together, laughed together, and pulled countless all-nighters together. We studied abroad in Florence together and made memories I'll cherish forever. After graduation our friendship only grew stronger as we both ended up in Memphis as commercial Interior Designers. It's been such a blessing to have a friend in my industry to tackle adult life and a familiar face in a new city. Forever grateful for a friend like Abby!
Groomsman
I feel like Alec has seen mine and Shelby's relationship grow from a closer perspective than most. Alec and I met in 2014 when we joined our fraternity together, and we've only grown closer since. He's my closest friend from college, and I'm thankful I have a friend as thoughtful and generous as he is. From weekend parties, to tailgates, to library sessions, Alec was there to see me and Shelby grow to fall in love. I actually asked Shelby out the same day this picture was taken! Thank you for being such a great friend to both of us, Dumke.
Bridesmaid
Allison Pate - my ray of sunshine! I can trust this girl with my life. She knows pretty much everything about me. I know I can tell her anything and she'd never judge and she'll take a secret to the grave. She's such a loyal friend! I met Allison through mutual friends and this picture was our first together. It's at a Sig Ep (of course) Risky Business date party. If only I knew this girl would be one of my very best friends when we took this picture, I'd be squeezing her! She's a friend I'd never let go of. I had the joy of living with Allison for two years in college and our girls nights will forever be some of my favorite times. I love you, AP and I couldn't get married without you by my side.
Groomsman
When I first met Brady, he was going into high school, and now he's headed to college in the fall! I remember giving him a few driving lessons, and it stood out to me how fast of a learner he is. It's been a joy watching him grow and mature. I'm excited to see where life takes him. Love, Max Brady will always be my baby bro. Since the day he was born I wanted to look after him, protect him and care for him. One of my favorite memories with Brady was when he was a baby and every morning, before school I'd pick him up out of his crib and bring him downstairs. It was something I looked forward to everyday. Brady, I'm so proud of the young man you're becoming. Your future is so bright. I love you so much and I'll never stop being your protective big sister. Love, Shelby
Bridesmaid
From Freshman year in Hess Hall (pictured) to roommates our Senior year, Emma was there throughout all of my college career and she's known Max and I since the beginning. I'm thankful for a friend that I can share my love for God and Chick-Fil-A with even if that sometimes means cheating on Lent and eating Chick-Fil-A when we shouldn't. Our Senior year we shared a bathroom and basically a closet too... I sure do miss those days! Emma knows just what to say when you need it. She checks in on me and somehow always knows what’s on my heart and mind. I call Emma my dancing queen and I know we’ll be dancing together till we’re eighty. Emma has watched mine and Max's love grow from the beginning and that's why I can't imagining walking down the isle without her.
Groomsman
Chris and I met in elementary school. His was one of the first friendships I ever made, and has certainly lasted the longest. I think that speaks not only to how friendly and kind Chris was when we were kids, but also to the kind of person he has become. No matter what kind of trouble I find myself in, I know that Chris will have my back. Although there were times where we didn't get to see each other as much, whether it was distance or just life, it never felt like we grew apart, and our friendship could pick back up right where it left off. I'm thankful that someone like that will be up there with me on the special day.
Bridesmaid
Hannah along with her sister, Maddie are my longest friends. Hannah lived right next to me since I was in Pre-K. Our very first play date was in between our houses. We both brought out our Polly Pocket collections and the rest is history. We went to the same schools for elementary, middle and high school. We've had more sleep overs than I can count, got into way too much trouble together and been there for each other through thick and thin. Hannah has been by my side through every chapter of my life. She's seen the good, the bad and the ugly. Even though I look forward to my adult life, I'll always cherish the days living next to my best friend. I only hope my future daughter finds her best friend as young as I was when I found you. I love you, Bear!
Groomsman
Garrett welcomed me into his family from the moment I first met him. He's kind, smart, funny, and always fun to be around. I look forward to seeing our relationship grow as brothers in law! Love, Max Garrett is my 2nd to youngest little brother. He was my very first friend and is still my best friend. Garrett and I are only 15 months apart so we've done just about everything together. From Sunday school, to bus rides, to high school lacrosse, to prom and homecoming groups, to college tailgating, Garrett's been by my side and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Garrett, I'm so proud to call you my brother. You've been a loyal friend to me for as long as I can remember. I love you so much and I hope our relationship never changes. Love, Shelby
Bridesmaid
There’s no one quite like Karlie. I know I can call Karlie and ask her any question and she’d never make me feel dumb. I get lost in just about every airport and she somehow manages to navigate me through the building over the phone. You’d think she has a doctorate degree based on the number of times I’ve called her to diagnose me. Karlie has done so much for me since I met her the very first day I moved into my Freshman dorm. Our first conversation was her telling me how she was going to decorate her dorm to be “shabby chic.” I smiled and pretended I knew what that meant. Karlie has witnessed Max and I from the start. I’ll never forget the day we were sitting in the Walmart parking lot and I told Karlie before anyone else that I was falling in love with Max. I’m thankful for you, Karlie!
Groomsman
Geoff and I met in high school, where we played baseball together. No one makes me laugh quite like Geoff. He has a way of approaching humor that I think is hard to find in most people. He is caring, and honest, and genuine to his core. When I think back on high school and college, one of the things that stands out to me the most is how much Geoff has influenced me. He is wise beyond his years, and I'm proud to call him a friend.
Bridesmaid
Katherine is the coolest future sister-in-law that I could ask for. She’s a firecracker and I’ve loved her since the day I met her. I’m so excited I’m getting a sister and I’m so excited it’s you, Katherine! Love, Shelby Sometimes it amazes me that Katherine survived having two brothers like me and Simon. I can definitely tell she learned a lot from us as the youngest child, but also has the spunk and attitude that she learned herself. She knows me better than I will ever understand, and has even brought me to tears with her words of encouragement and love. Not everyone is as lucky as I am to have a sister so caring, outgoing, and obnoxious. Love you Deetz ; ) -Max
Groomsman
Josh and I met in middle school, and we grew up close to each other. The first thing I need to say about Josh is that he is one of the most hardworking people I have ever met. He is constantly trying to better himself in anything he does, and from him I have learned the value of competition. He is one of those people who can make you laugh without meaning to be funny, yet he is a very down-to-earth person. He is the person I talk to when I just want to relax and have fun. Thank you for being an awesome friend.
Bridesmaid
Maddie, like her sister, Hannah has been by my side since I was in Pre-K. She was my neighbor first, then my friend and now she's my little sister. I truly do feel like her and I share blood. Maddie has always had my back and I know she always will. Growing up together was such a joy. We had lemonade stands, countless beach trips, and high school cheerleading and lacrosse together. I'll never forget the time when Maddie drove for her first time. We were in my car and I tried to coach her but she insisted she push the gas with her right foot and brake with her left. It looked like she was tap dancing. Maddie is free spirited, heart-felt and one amazing friend. I'm forever thankful that I had Maddie throughout all of my childhood and now I have her by my side on my wedding day.
Groomsman
Maclin and I also met in middle school, and lived in the same neighborhood. I remember, when I first met Maclin, thinking that he was one of the nicest and likeable people I'd ever met. And that's still true to this day. I've never heard Maclin speak ill of anyone, and I don't think he realizes how much positivity he really spreads. He always wants to have fun, make memories, and be around people he cares about. What more can you ask for from a close friend?
Bridesmaid
I met Morgan my freshman year of college. She was one of my sorority sisters that turned into my soul sister. She motivates, inspires me and pushes me to be the best me I can be. Morgan always knows what I need and when I need it. Whether it be a pep talk before a job interview, a strong drink when I need to let loose, a Bruno song when I need to dance and sing, or a Frosty when I’m in the hospital, Morgan always knows how to be there for me. I can’t imagine what my college years would’ve been like without her. I’m so thankful God gave me a friend like you, Morgan. We’ve tackled college and the beginning of adulthood together, and now we get to tackle the married life together. Thank you for being you, Morgan! You’re the light in my life.
Groomsman
Robin and I have been friends since middle school, and we lived close by growing up. Robin, to me, is more like a brother than a friend. We might not always stay in touch, or check in with each other, or make plans to see each other. But we both know the love that is there and the connection we have will remain forever. From morning car rides to school, spring break beach trips, to tackling college together, Robin has been there with me. I have faith he'll be there for me for a long time to come.
Bridesmaid
Nicole and I met in 2007 in a Hip Hop class at GJ’s dance studio. Once we got to know each other, we were inseparable. During the day we both attended Milton Somers Middle School then in the evening had dance rehearsal together. When we weren’t in dance class we were walking through each other’s neighborhoods, designing our MySpace profiles, or making cooking videos on our digital cameras. At one point we even managed to convince people that we were cousins. Nicole and I have one of those friendship that doesn’t need constant communication. It doesn’t matter how much time has passed, our friendship picks up right where we left off. I’m forever grateful for a friendship like ours, Nicole. I hope Nick never stops asking me for Christmas present advice because I love helping you feel loved.
Groomsman
Tyler and I always have a good time relating over music. He's always very easy to have a conversation with, and I'm proud to call you my future brother-in-law! Love, Max Tyler is my older brother and he's always had a special place in my heart. Even though he's older than me, I've always wanted to protect and look after him like he does for me. Tyler is one of the strongest people I know and I'm so proud of him for how far he's come. I'm so thankful to have such a cool big brother. Thank you for supporting me over the years and traveling many miles to see me. I cherish all the laughs, heart-to-heart conversations and memories we've made over the years. I love you so much, Tyler. Love, Shelby
Bridesmaid
Even though Rachel and I didn’t become friends until our Sophomore year of high school, I feel like I’ve known her my whole life. Rachel is kind, loyal, down to earth and has the most genuine heart. She’s always been a good influence on me and I know I can always count of her to be cheering me on from the sidelines. Rachel has spent many weeks and weekends in a dark and cold auditorium, supporting me at many of my dance and cheer competitions. Rachel understands me in ways most people can’t. She’s been by my side during some of the worst and best times of my life I’m so thankful to have her as my friend and my bridesmaid. I know that no matter how much time passes or the distance between us, Rachel will always be my one of my best friends. I’m so grateful for you, Rachel!
Groomsman
I remember the first time Shelby told me about her fourth brother, and it's never felt like Zac was anything other than her family. He's been more than welcoming since I met him, and I'm excited to have you up there with me. Love, Max Zac is my bonus brother (as if 3 wasn't already enough). We don't share blood but I considered him to be just as much of a brother as I do Brady, Garrett and Tyler. I met Zac the summer before I started high school. He was just as goofy back then. We became friends, then he met my brothers and the rest is history. Many family vacations, dinners, pool days and holidays later, I can't imagine my life without him. Zac, thanks for always being the life of the party, my best friend and my brother. I love you so much! Love, Shelby
Bridesmaid
It’s hard to put mine and Susie's friendship into words. In the beginning she was my sorority “Big” but she quickly became so much more than that. She’s my rock, my study partner, my life saver, my best friend and my go-to girl for just about everything. Susie’s done so much for me in the few short years I’ve known her and continues to do so. She’s the most hardworking, selfless, caring and protective person I know. While we were in school together she picked me up several times and carried me to the finish line. Susie is the kind of friend that calls just to check in. She’s the kind of friend that puts others first. She’s the kind of friend that does whatever she can to build her friends up. I can’t thank Susie enough for all that she does for me and I can’t imagine my life without her.
Groomsman
Zach and I met in middle school, and he was one of my neighborhood friends as well. Our friendship developed throughout high school and college, and today he is one of my best friends. Zach is easily one of my favorite people to talk to, and our conversations can go on for hours. Over the years, Zach has helped me develop my ability to see other perspectives, to listen intently, and to always try to learn from others. I feel like he's helped me grow significantly as a person, and I know we will enjoy each other's company and conversation for a long time.
Flower Girl
Aspen is my God Daughter and I absolutely adore her. She will be a little over 2 years old at our wedding and we are so excited to have her as one of our flower girls. Aspen loves Baby Shark and Peppa Pig. She may be small but she’s full of personality. I love you so much, Aspen Lee! Love, Aunt Shell
Flower Girl
Pearl is Max's youngest cousin, and will be 4 as our Flower Girl. Pearl is smart, curious, and loving. Her favorite color is pink, and her favorite book is The Cat in the Hat! We're so excited to have you as one of our Flower Girls. Love, Max
Ring Bearer
We’re so thankful that our God son, Greyson will be able to walk as our Ring Bearer now that the wedding was postponed a year. It’s been such a joy watching this sweet little boy grow up. Your Aunt Shell and Uncle Max love you very much.

I've known Landyn since he was a newborn and now he's in the 2nd grade. He's one of my favorite kids to be around and I'm so proud of the young boy he is becoming. Landyn, we're so excited to have you a part of our special day. Love, Shelby
