Our love journey began in the late 1990s as teenagers. It wasn't until recently that he shared with me that when he saw me walk in the school gymnasium so many years ago that he knew I would be his wife. I was 18 years old, and he was 21 when we married on April 8, 1999. We thought we were on the path to our happily ever after, but it appeared it wasn't quite our time. We went through a separation and then a divorce. Years went by and in 2016 a family member's wedding would reunite us. Who would have ever thought?? LOL! I know us reuniting as a couple was a major shock for all, including us. It didn't matter though because what God had planned for us was for us. On Christmas Day of 2023, my family stood holding hands as my dad prepared to bless the food before Christmas dinner. That's when Maurice fell to one knee, grabbed my hand, and proposed. I was shocked but obviously, I said yes because we are now getting ready to spin the block.... lol. It hasn't been easy, and we've had our share of challenges, but we've always felt that God brought us back together for a reason. Family and friends, stay tuned for the re-introduction of the Roberts!
