We're so glad you're joining us to celebrate our wedding. We've put together a few of our favourite places in the Bay Area and beyond for first time visitors. Pictured above is San Francisco's Ocean Beach, our regular sunset spot near our home.

Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park

Oakland, CA

A beautiful park for hiking, picnicking and redwood spotting. Easily accessed via taxi, Uber or bus from Berkeley.

Golden Gate Park

San Francisco, CA

San Francisco's largest park and always full of surprises. It houses a bison paddock, a huge statue of Robbie Burns, and nearly always someone practicing fire tricks for Burning Man. A must visit if you're traveling to San Francisco.

Bolinas

Bolinas, CA

Maureen and Sam's favourite spot to surf together. Located in beautiful West Marin, Bolinas is a perfect spot to play in the waves or on the beach.

Yosemite National Park

Yosemite Valley, CA

Yosemite - it rocks! Sam has many fond memories of working on the kitchen staff at Yosemite's Camp Tuolomne where he was one of the pre-eminent 16 year olds running the kitchen. This national park is a must visit for any international visitors with a few days to spare. The drive is about 3.5 hours from the Bay Area to the park. Be sure to book accommodation or campsites early - September weekends fill up fast. Reach out to Maureen or Sam if you'd like hiking or camping recommendations.
