
Maureen: We would likely not be together if it wasn't for this group dinner and the giant margarita in San Antonio.

Maureen: Emmie flew to see me before we started dating to see whether we wanted to give a relationship a try. We are at Pike's Peak here.

Emmie: Maureen made many trips to Oxford to visit me while I was finishing grad school. I think she also enjoyed visiting her old stomping ground. We loved going on dates when we could!

Maureen: We take New Year's Eve pictures with glasses every year.

Maureen: We saw Book of Mormon together in Memphis. I joked with her about this photo because it looks like she has a beard.

Emmie: One of my favorite memories is surprising Maureen in Oct 2016. She did not know that I was coming for a visit!

Maureen: We got engaged a long time ago in Bouré, which is a restaurant in Oxford.

Emmie: The Wilsons threw us an enGAYgement party (6 years ago!). It was wonderful!

Maureen: Emmie and I went to Chicago together for a conference. She fell off a bus and sprained her ankle pretty bad. I pushed her in a HUGE wheelchair through the aquarium, which she didn't love.

Maureen: We went to Seattle together for a conference and went on a dinner cruise together.

Emmie: We tried to be creative when we had to be long distance. We enjoyed playing battleship together over FaceTime.

Maureen: Our first kayaking adventure was at Lake Dillon in 2017. We would never have guesses how much kayaking we would do together in the future.

Maureen: I got extremely sunburnt in Sand Diego and Emmie wheeled me in the chair to the bathroom when I needed because it was so painful to walk.

Emmie: Maureen and Kristen visited me in Omaha for my birthday during internship. Maureen hates escape rooms but she did one for me!

Maureen: Kristen and I went to a Wildlife Safari together in Omaha. This bison ran up to my side of the car and I jumped into Emmie’s lap.

Emmie: I enjoy showing Maureen around South Louisiana and Cajun culture. She really enjoyed touring the Tabasco factory.

Maureen: It was a joyous day when Emmie graduated with her Ph.D. Not only were we celebrating her accomplishments, it meant we could finally live in the same place.

Emmie: Though Maureen and I didn't overlap in gradschool, we had the same academic advisor! Here we are with Kelly.

Emmie: June 30, 2019 was glorious day! Long distance ended and we finally moved in together!

Maureen: I've been fortunate enough to witness a lot of firsts for Emmie. This is her first ever snow angel.

Emmie: We love to cook and bake together!

Emmie: One of our favorite holidays is Halloween. You should see the condo in October!

Emmie: Another one of our cool adventures in the ice castles!

Maureen: This is us celebrating New Year's not yet aware of what 2020 had in store for us and the world.

Emmie: We love spontaneous adventures! We HAD to take a picture with the wienermobile!

Emmie: We enjoy spending time outside in the hammock. There are two trees right outside our condo that is perfect for tying up and hanging out.

Maureen: This is the day we grew our family by bringing Crouton home.

Maureen: This photo melts my heart.

Maureen: Emmie and I got a kayak in 2021 and love to go on adventures with it.

Emmie: Maureen loves to take cheesy photos and videos

Maureen: Emmie threw me a fabulous unicorn and rainbow birthday. She spend so much time planning it to make it special.
