Matron of Honor
Torrie is the bride's sister-in-law! How could you not love the most patient person in this world, Torrie is one of the most selfless, beautiful people I know and I wish I had an ounce of her creativity. She has constantly lifted Maura up throughout her pharmacy career journey and will always give the best advice! Fun memory: One of my favorite memories is when Maura helped me drive with the dogs from Midland to South Carolina after Christmas break. Poor Maura was coming down with the flu but was a trooper and helped drive and visit for the two-day trip. That was really the first time we hung out without other family, and I was so excited to gain a beautiful, smart, and funny sister. I will always treasure the conversation, singing, and pit stops of the Flu Drive of 2017 and look forward to more adventures together!
Maid of Honor
Kameo and the bride have been best friends since they were 3 years old! From ballet classes to elementary school, countless sleepovers, and travel, Kameo is more like a sister to Maura even from a distance. Fun Memory: I still remember when I went on vacation to California with Kameo, her mother, and her sister during one of our summer breaks in high school. Kameo would not stop bugging her mom until we got tacos because in her head it was an essential part of a beach vacay. We happily ate our tacos and giggled about nonsense for hours before bed just catching up. From that day on, whenever I go to a beach, I always get some sort of taco and think of her!
Bridesmaid
Irene and the bride have been friends since Maura's very first day of freshman year at Parkland High School. We met during our engineering class in first period because we were the only two girls in the class! Maura quickly realized that Irene's empowered heart and determined attitude were the perfect amount of Latina spirit that the bride needed to make it through her first day of public high school. Fun Memory: I really don't know where to begin because we have so many fun memories! The one that is probably most fitting for the occasion is when I first saw Jesus in a class, I told Irene that I thought he was cute and her response was "Ewwww noooo, he's like my brother." At first, I thought something was wrong with me for thinking this guy was good-looking. Eventually, she gave me some context that her brother was a childhood friend of Jesus and she viewed Jesus as more of a brother figure haha!
Bridesmaid
We met during pharmacy school and quickly became close friends! Between her kind heart, Texas accent, and amazing sense of style she's hard not to LOVE. Fun Memory: During our first year of pharmacy school Jacee and I was 2/3 of the students in our class that were under 21 years old. We had a school trip to Lubbock for a learning event with the Texas Tech medical students and naturally the first night of being there everyone wanted to go out to a bar. We went to get ice cream instead and I still remember us waving to everyone else as they left for the bars and we kids went for a more PG-13 night haha! We definitely don't often choose ice cream over a bar scene anymore but it was definitely a fun moment to share.
Bridesmaid
Gisselle and the bride have known each other since high school but became close through Irene a few years ago! Gisselle truly has a one-of-a-kind personality and sense of humor (her laugh is contagious)! She is the first one to say "yes" and is always there for a "good time not a long time." Maura knows she can count on her to support her in everything she does. Fun Memory: Gisselle invited me and Jesus to her ring dunk in College Station, TX, a couple of years ago when she graduated from Texas A&M. If you are like me and Jesus and don't know what a rink dunk is, it is a right of passage for fellow Aggies to celebrate graduation by putting their graduation ring into a pitcher of their drink of choice and drink until they get to the ring. It is quite the event! After her party, she took us bar hopping at North Gate where we tried a multitude of both interesting and quite creative shots. I will never forget it!
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and the bride met through Jesus. Jesus and Stephanie both work for Lockheed Martin and are pursuing their Master's degrees together which Maura usually tags along when they study! Stephanie is both as intelligent as she is strong. When you don't find her at Crossfit she is dancing to country music, hosting a game night for us, or playing with her two golden retrievers, Ava and Hazel! Fun Memory: My favorite memory with Stephanie is when we she helped Jesus set up our marriage proposal in Destin, Florida. Her organization and creativity in setting everything up for our special moment truly meant so much to me. She let us stay at her condo and I never suspected a thing! I know Jesus could have done it himself but I do owe a lot to this sweet girl for making it so beautiful and who doesn't need some friendly help from an amazing planner like Stephanie? We both love you a ton!
Bridesmaid
We also met in pharmacy school but got close during our second-year! Mikayla is one smart cookie but don't let that fool you, she also knows how to have a good time and the life of the party. Fun Memory: If you know one thing about Mikayla, she is AMAZING at gift-giving. She claims it is her love language and I would contest that it really is! After Jesus proposed, she gave me such sweet and very fashionable gifts. She got me a sweater and purse that has my future last name on it and a pair of "bride" earrings. I hope she does know this, but I have used those items SO MUCH over the course of our engagement and have received countless compliments on those gifts. She truly is a gem and pours her soul into everything she does, thank you for keeping me looking good Mikky. Mikayla's Fav Thing About the Bride: My favorite thing about Maura, is how big her heart is. No matter what if you are having a bad day, she drops what she’s doing and is there for you ❤️🫶🏼 Also love when we have nights out dancing and singing our hearts out - we usually are the first ones on the dance floor!!!
