What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Temperatures around this time of year are expected to be between 98-102 degrees around this time of the day. We will provide a refreshment station with flavored waters and paper umbrellas/fans to keep you comfortable. The ceremony will be kept as short as possible and the cocktail hour will follow the ceremony inside with air conditioning.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

They both will be taking place at Firefly Gardens in Midlothian, TX. The ceremony will be held outside and cocktail hour/reception will be inside.

Does your wedding have a theme?

Answer

Our wedding does not have a theme necessarily but for pictures and extreme temperatures we would prefer everyone to dress in light, pastel colors. Anything that reminds you of spring time!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We would ask that our guests arrive around 4:00 PM to take their seats and be ready for the ceremony to begin at 4:30 PM.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids! But we ask that you arrange care for children <13 years of age unless they are our immediate family or let us know in advance.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Yes, we will have a buffet chicken/steak fajita bar. There will be corn tortillas available for those who are gluten-free and those who are vegetarian can opt out of the chicken/steak at the buffet line.

Where are you registered?

Answer

Simply attending our wedding is present enough! If you choose to gift us additionally, we ask that you contribute to our honeymoon fund or our gift registry at Bed Bath & Beyond under our registry section of the website. We will also have a box for cards at the reception.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #ringinginrodriguez23 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!
