Sun Valley Resort
The Sun Valley Resort is one of our favorite places to visit all times of year. The resort has a wide variety of summer activities including, but not limited to, mountain biking, year-round ice skating, shopping, spas, dining, swimming, bowling & golf.
Lefty's Bar & Grill
If you know the Strayers, you have surely heard Todd rave about a Lefty's burger and fries! Enjoy beautiful views of Baldy Mountain from the porch and let us know what you think!
Galena Lodge
Just a short drive from the camp, Galena Lodge offers loads of trails, food, bike rentals, and more!
Hike Bald Mountain (or nearby)
While there are endless hiking trails in the area, Baldy is easily accessible and provides amazing views.
Gondola Ride
For those not wanting to hike, or want help up half the mountain - we recommend taking a gondola ride up to Roundhouse lodge on Bald Mountain.
Fishing
Sun Valley offers great opportunities for fishing. The Wood River (going through town) is one of many great spots to fly fish. Also, Lake Creek Pond and Penny Lake are easily accessible and are regularly stocked with trout.
Explore Ketchum
There's lots to explore in Ketchum, Idaho. We would encourage you to park and walk around town. Some of our favorite spots include: Stores - Gold Mine, Elephant's Perch, Silver Creek, Lost River Outfitters. Restaurants - The Pioneer, Sawtooth Brewery, Grumpy's, Bigwood Bakery & Cafe, KB's and The Kneadery.
