As they were messaging back and forth on Hinge about their mutual love of reality TV, they set up a date! Kyle had recently moved to Denver, so Mattie took it into her own hands to plan the first date. She asked Kyle if he would be interested in a bar crawl and he said, "sure!" Mattie then followed up with an itinerary of all the reservations she had made; however, she didn't mention they were reservations and just sent a list of times. Kyle just thought she was really particular about a schedule. And then Mattie was referred to as "Itinerary Girl" for months after. She's still making itineraries for her and Kyle to this day. Kyle and Mattie got engaged at the Denver Botanic Gardens at their favorite bench on June 27th, 2025. Kyle managed to surprise Mattie with the engagement despite her being militantly suspicious for the months leading up to it. They are so excited to get married and are looking forward to more cappuccinos, reality TV show nights, photo ops, nice dinners, and adventures together.
