A Weekend on the Beach!

Our story began in one of our favorite places, Fort Hays State University, after a coincidental encounter with mutual friends. Following the first meeting, our paths crossed several more times in classes, athletics, and around campus. As time progressed so did our friendship, which later turned into more. Our college days were filled with shared homework answers, football games, concerts, ice cream dates, and of course, track meets. Once we both finished our degrees, our careers took us in separate directions. Blaze in Salina and Mattie in Kansas City meant for a lot of weekend miles on I-70. Mattie has since relocated and we look forward to joining each other back in Hays, where we first met, to begin our lives as newly weds! Over the past seven years, we’ve celebrated many of our friends’ marriages, spent time in Colorado visiting family, taught each other new skills, and traveled coast to coast together. Through every season and adventure, we’ve continued to cherish the moments we spend together. We look forward to the next several months of wedding (and life) planning before we can celebrate with our friends and family in Mexico!
