We're getting married!

Sarah and Kim (mother of the bride, mother of the groom) actually lived in the same house in college, and, simply put, the rest is history. Growing up, us kids spent time together during our parents' game nights, bible studies, and dinner parties. Alec was the designated "babysitter" for all the events, and although he was too cool for us at the time, I can't help but think he found me cute back in 2002. Years went by before I reached out to Alec about pharmacy, Hawaii, etc... and by December 2018 we were completely caught up. I knew everything about him, he knew everything about me. We talked on the phone, we FaceTimed... for hours. We planned a ski trip to Oregon - despite our mothers' hesitation - and fell in love.

I could gush for hours about how perfect - and how much of a surprise - this weekend truly was, but I'll keep it short and sweet. We planned a vacation to Southern California the first week of December. Our second night there, Alec and I went to this secluded beach to watch sunset before heading to dinner. We sat for a little bit, talking about life and enjoying the view. Alec asked if I wanted to walk, and when we stood up and he started the whole speech, I was still so clueless. Next: absolute, pure joy. The man of my DREAMS. Down on a knee. A ring. Tears. Yes!!!!! When he turned me toward the beach house behind us and both of our families came running out.... wow. Alec is truly the most thoughtful and caring and generous person in the world. He’s my best friend and my everything, and now I get to marry him!!!!!!! Now let’s make me a Daily, baby!
