We're Getting Married!

We were in the same math class first semester during our freshman year of college. A few weeks into the semester, we talked after class one day. Little did we know, we'd end up in the same amazing group of friends who (even back then!) joked that we’d end up married. Sophomore year, those jokes turned into something real, and we officially started dating. Fast forward to now—here we are, ready to tie the knot!

During college, we lived in Oxford, Ohio during the school year. In our first year of dating, we did long distance over the summer, but after that, Madison spent the summers with Jack in Minnesota. After graduation, we moved to Knoxville, TN for Jack to start his business, Social Indoor. We have fallen in love with Knoxville and are so happy we get to call it home. So many exciting things have happened since we moved including getting our first fur baby (Palmer), Jack building his business and network here, building and moving into our first home, and getting engaged! Now, we’re excited to start this new chapter together and can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you!

The proposal day was filled with surprises and excitement. Madison had hinted that she really wanted it to happen that weekend for multiple reasons, and if it was going to happen, she was pretty sure it would be at the Biltmore during the house and gardens portion. They finished touring the house and gardens and decided to head to the winery. At this point, Madison was convinced it wasn’t happening that day and even texted her friends, 'It’s not happening today.' As they walked into the winery, Jack and Jackson ran ahead of them, and the lady at the desk remarked, 'Those two seem to be up to trouble,' which made Madison and Nila laugh. When they caught up, Jack made them wait because he wanted to 'take a picture,' which Madison thought was odd. Nila and Madison were getting a bit annoyed with the wait, but when the area finally cleared out, Jack began talking about their relationship. Then, he got down on one knee. It was the easiest yes of Madison's life! Despite her hints and expectations, Jack somehow caught her completely off guard. They were both super excited and emotional. Afterward, they celebrated with dinner at an amazing restaurant in Asheville surrounded by their friends. It was such a special day and a perfect beginning to their next chapter together.
