Q & A

Q & A
Question

When should I arrive in Italy?

Answer

We want this trip to be more than just a wedding — we want it to be your vacation. The wedding will take place on Wednesday, June 10. Since the wedding falls during the week, we encourage guests to arrive in Italy by Monday, June 8 at the latest to settle in and enjoy the coastline. For a full experience, consider starting your trip in Rome or Naples and making your way down the Amalfi and Cilento coasts at your own pace. Whether it’s a few extra days of pasta and sunshine or a longer Italian adventure, we hope you take this opportunity to make the most of it!

Question

When Should I Book?

Answer

As soon as possible! We know most people like to wait until a few months before the wedding to book, but this is not that kind of trip. Our room block is opens in November for a limited time, and June is peak travel season on the Cilento Coast. Accommodations in Santa Maria di Castellabate are charming but limited — once they’re booked, they’re gone. Please, please book early so we can make sure you have a place to stay nearby. At the very least, reserve your room now — and if your plans shift, most hotels allow changes or cancellations with little to no penalty. Trust us: your future self will thank you!

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We absolutely love your little ones, but due to the nature of the venue and weekend events, we are unable to accommodate children at the wedding. If you are traveling with your family, we completely understand and are happy to help coordinate local childcare during event times. Please reach out to us directly so we can assist with arrangements.

Question

Should I Rent a Car?

Answer

We recommend it! The Cilento Coast is stunning — but also a bit more remote and less accessible than other parts of Italy. Renting a car will give you the freedom to explore nearby towns, beaches, and hidden gems without relying on train schedules or expensive taxis. You can easily rent a car from either Naples International Airport (NAP) or Rome Fiumicino (FCO) when you land. Most major rental companies are located right at the terminals, and booking in advance is highly recommended — especially during the summer season. Having a car isn't necessary for wedding transportation (we’ll take care of that!), but it’s a great option if you want to explore beyond Santa Maria di Castellabate during your stay.

Question

How do I get from Naples to Santa Maria di Castellabate?

Answer

If you prefer not to rent a car, taking the train is a scenic and stress-free option. To reach Santa Maria di Castellabate, take the train from Napoli Centrale to Agropoli–Castellabate, the nearest station to the town (about a 10-minute taxi ride away). Train Details: Departure Station: Napoli Centrale Arrival Station: Agropoli–Castellabate Duration: Approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes Ticket Price: Around €10–€20 depending on the train type and how early you book Booking Options: Trenitalia, Italo, or Trainline Trains run frequently throughout the day, and both regional and high-speed options are available. Once you arrive at Agropoli–Castellabate, you can take a short taxi or local bus to your hotel in Santa Maria di Castellabate. We recommend booking your train tickets in advance, especially during the summer travel season.

Question

How do I get from Rome to Santa Maria di Castellabate?

Answer

If you’re flying into Rome or planning to start your trip there, you can easily reach Santa Maria di Castellabate by train with one connection in Naples. Step-by-Step Route: Roma Termini → Napoli Centrale – High-speed trains (Italo or Frecciarossa) – Duration: ~1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes – Tickets: €25–€40 depending on when you book Napoli Centrale → Agropoli–Castellabate – Regional trains (Trenitalia) – Duration: ~1 hour 20 minutes – Tickets: €10–€20 Agropoli–Castellabate → Santa Maria di Castellabate – A short 10-minute taxi or local bus ride will take you from the station to town Booking Sites: – trenitalia.com – italotreno.it – thetrainline.com We recommend booking your high-speed tickets in advance for the best prices and availability, especially during summer travel months.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We will provide transportation to all major wedding events from the main hotels listed on our site. Because the roads to the castle are narrow and parking is limited, we encourage you to use this service. Pick‑Up Locations There will be two designated pick‑up points: (1) In the city center of Santa Maria Castelbattte (near Grand Hotel Santa Maria and Palazzo Belmonte) (2) At the Approdo Resort Thalasso & Spa Depending on guest accommodations, we may add a third pick‑up location — please check our wedding website for updates. Please plan on being picked up and dropped off at one of these locations. We will coordinate exact times once we know everyone’s hotel.

Question

Where Should I Stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in Santa Maria di Castellabate, a charming coastal town that will serve as the hub for all wedding transportation. We have a room block reserved at the Grand Hotel Santa Maria, and nearby options like Palazzo Belmonte and Approdo Thalasso Spa are also great choices. Staying in this area will make getting to and from the wedding events easy and seamless, as all group shuttles will depart from here. What about Airbnbs? While Airbnbs are available in the region, we don’t recommend them unless you’re familiar with the area. The Cilento Coast is less touristy than other parts of Italy, and some rentals can be quite remote. Staying near town means you'll be within walking distance to restaurants, cafés, beaches, and shops — and most importantly, to the wedding transportation pickups. If you're unsure where to stay, feel free to reach out — we’re happy to help guide you!

Question

Will there be other events to attend during the wedding weekend?

Answer

We are planning additional celebrations throughout the weekend, such as the rehearsal dinner and other gatherings. Because space at each of these events is limited and we want to be respectful of capacity, we are waiting to hear back on final RSVP numbers before issuing invitations. Separate invitations will be distributed for these events once we have a full understanding of who is able to attend the wedding. Thank you for your understanding — we look forward to celebrating with everyone!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is Black Tie Optional. If you have a tux, this is the moment to wear it! Otherwise, a dark suit is perfect for gentlemen. For ladies, we recommend long formal dresses or floor‑length gowns — think elevated garden party mixed with castle chic, sunset colors, and romantic elegance to match the timeless and enchanting setting of our day. Sunset hues, elegant silhouettes, and refined accessories complement the atmosphere beautifully. We can’t wait to see you dressed for the celebration!

Question

Do we need to bring a gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is truly gift enough, and we are so grateful you’ll be there to celebrate with us. Please don’t feel any obligation to give a gift. We have more than we could ever ask for. However, for those who wish to, we have created a registry that can be found on this website.
