We can't wait to see you! Our wedding will be an Indian fusion style with elements from the East and the West. We look forward to sharing our culture with you. Due to Covid-19, we ask that all guests in attendance are up to date on their vaccinations. There is no mask requirement currently at our venue, but as we are hosting a large group, feel free to wear one if it makes you more comfortable. Attire - Piti: Outdoor Summer Dress (Any Style) Wedding Ceremony/Reception: Traditional Indian attire encouraged for all of our guests What is traditional Indian attire? Indian style is all about COLOR so avoid pure black and white. Most attires are composed of 2-4 pieces of clothing. Pajamas are pants, and Kurtas are tunics. For a feminine look, we would suggest either a Sari or a Salwar Kameez. For a masculine look, we suggest either a Kurta Pajama or a Sherwani. Pithi

6:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Center 615
615 Main Street, Nashville, TN 37206

Summer Wear

A Pithi is a famous traditional ceremony that marks the days before the wedding! In the pithi ceremony, the paste of Haldi (tumeric) is applied to both grooms by friends and family. Haldi is important in Indian Culture and signifies a soul and body cleansing. It welcomes the adult married life to both grooms. Haldi is said to keep evil away, create a sense of ease, and spark new beginnings. Our Pithi will be held at the Rec Hall at Center615 in East Nashville! We encourage all guests to attend this ceremony. We will be performing a Sangeet dance for our guests, as well as providing Street Food of India and Japan. We will also have Mehndi Artists (Henna) available for our guests!

The Ceremony

6:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Formal Indian Attire or Summer Wedding Attire

Come see Matt and Nafis get hitched! We will have a quick 30 minute ceremony on the steps of the Parthenon to commit ourselves to each other. After the ceremony, we'll move inside for cocktail hour.

Cocktail Hour

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Parthenon isn't just where we're getting married, built in 1897, This museum is a full scale replica of the Parthenon in Athens that was destroyed in 1687. As an art museum, the Parthenon's permanent collection on the lower level is a group of 63 paintings by 19th and 20th century American artists, donated by James M. Cowan. Additional gallery spaces provide a venue for a variety of temporary shows and exhibits. The main level contains a replica, completed in 1990, of the Athena Parthenos statue that was in the original Parthenon in Athens. Please spend this time to enjoy the museum with drinks and Indian appetizers! We have the entire space available for your enjoyment.

The Reception

8:00 pm - 11:45 pm

On the main floor we will have our dinner and reception! We ask that all guests make their way to their designated seats at 7pm. Once we find our places, we'll begin with a Sangeet by friends and family of Matt and Nafis and open up our dinner! For the evening, we will be serving Indian Food Buffet Style by Sindoore. There will be Vegan, Vegetarian, and Non-Veg options available. After we have all filled our plates, we'll begin with speeches and move into our couples and family dance. We will then open up the dance floor and party down the Parthenon with Athena!
