An ideal place for chilled food, easy going and great to sit at bar. Very casual.
Star Fish Company
Based in Cortez, this local fishing village restaurant is very rustic. CASH ONLY. They will serve up your favourite fish in cardboard boxes. Describing themselves as ultra-casual dining, we recommend this for lunch. It's very hot so make sure you grab a cold beer. (The blackened mullet is our fave - Matt prefer's the hearty portion).
Duffy's Tavern, Bar, and Grill
Best burgers on the island, no fries. Just burgers, a VERY cold beer and a nice pack of Cheetos.
The Waterfront Restaurant
Our favourite place for long lunches and evening dinners, the Tuna Sashimi is to die for. Enjoy drinks at the bar followed by dinner on the terrace or inside. If you like smoked margaritas or jalapeños, this is the place for you. No reservations so allow for wait time.
Columbia Restaurant
A short drive away in St Armands Circle, Columbia is renowned for its Sangria and Tapas dishes. Enjoy a wonder around the shops and bars after some lunch.
Shore Longboat Key
If you want somewhere a little more fancy, enjoy an evening at shore with amazing food and cocktails, followed by a visit to their shop to spend your annual salary.
Slim's Place
If sport is on the menu, this place is a must. Enjoy beers at the bar and a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich at Slim's (right next to the Sandbar).
The Ugly Grouper
For very relaxed outside dining, enjoy the Ugly Grouper with seating in the garden or at the bar. We recommend the tacos!
Mar Vista Dockside Restaurant & Pub
Enjoy the sunset over the Marvista Dock with great food and an amazing view. Owned by the same company as our wedding venue, this is a must visit if you rent a boat.
North Shore Cafe Anna Maria
Enjoy Avocado Toast and Acai bowls at North Shore Cafe off of Pine Avenue (perfect for a post run snack). Queues can be long so get there early.
Ginny's & Jane E's Cafe and Gift Store
The best cinnamon buns you have ever had. This is a MUST visit for Coffee and Breakfast, it's quirky but fabulous
Cortez Kitchen or Swordfish Grill
Enjoy casual restaurants for evening dinner or lunch in Cortez. Fresh fish, casual beers and live music.
An Evening on Bridge Street
Island Time, The Beach House, Bridge Tender Inn, Daiquiri Deck... lots of fun places to enjoy drinks and dinner on the South of the island, just make sure you catch the trolley back by 10:30 or use the Monkey Bus
