A friend of Matthew’s, Felix Blauel, is the proud owner of Mani Blauel - an organic extra virgin olive oil company. You can take a tour of the olive orchard, the factory, and experience a tasting of authentic Greek olive oil! Normally only available Tuesday/Thursday at 11 but Felix will give you a special deal if you mention you are with Matthew (try to go in a group to help maximize his time).

About 45 minutes North from Kalamata, just on the other side of the airport. Expansive ancient ruins from a Greek city. The history buffs will love this excursion.

About 2 hours South from Kalamata, stunning cave network you can kayak through and surrounded by beautiful beaches! Seriously, google.

25 mins South of Kalamata, gorgeous little neighbouring town. Pretty sure there is an ancient fort/castle to check out as well.
