Absolutely! You’re welcome to arrive anytime between Monday and Thursday, whether you’re flying or driving. Our ceremony will be on Friday, and we’ll be at the house through Sunday, so come for as much or as little time as works for you.
Early November in the Outer Banks is typically mild. Expect daytime temperatures in the 60s to low 70s, with cooler evenings in the 50s. It’s less humid than summer and can be a bit breezy, so layers are a good idea.
Formal attire is requested for all guests. Our ceremony will take place outdoors (weather permitting), with the reception indoors. We recommend midi, tea-length, or floor-length dresses, or a suit and tie—think polished and comfortable. (And kindly, no jeans.)
Breakfast will be stocked in the house all week—bagels, eggs, sausage, pastries, yogurt, fruit, and more—ready whenever you are. Lunch will be simple and covered each day with supplies on hand, plus a pizza lunch, a burgers-and-hot-dogs cookout, and one day of catered sandwiches. Dinner will include a catered pasta night, a catered taco night, and our wedding reception, with additional food available in the house throughout the week.
Yes! While the pool may be closed for the season, the ocean is right in the backyard and there’s a hot tub, too.
Whoever is listed on your RSVP is who we’re able to invite for the wedding week. Space at the house is limited, but we’d love to celebrate with additional guests at our New England or Midwest wedding showers this summer.
As much as we love all our furry friends, pets aren’t allowed at the house we’ve rented.
If anything feels unclear or you have a question we haven’t covered, just reach out to either of us. We’re always happy to help and can’t wait to share this time with you!
