Like all good love stories, ours started… at Kohl’s. Katelyn was enjoying a normal lunch break with Kylie and a few other coworkers, when the conversation turned to dating. Kylie, who also happens to be married to Matt’s best friend, Brett, perked up and said, “Wait, I’ve got someone for you!” Apparently, she’d been plotting this setup for a while but was just waiting for the right moment. She explained that her husband’s best friend, Matt, was very nice, funny and, most importantly, shared an interest in football. A few texts later, Brett messaged Matt, and productivity levels across multiple workplaces immediately dropped to zero. By the end of the day, Matt and Katelyn had agreed to talk on Instagram. One message led to another, and soon they were deep in conversation about life’s most important topics, football, jobs, dads who like to play boat in the driveway, and the most important of all get to know you topics, South Park. Somewhere between the jokes and the memes, sparks flew. And now, here we are, proof that sometimes your soulmate just needs a little help from a lunch break, a couple good friends, and Instagram DM's.
