I wanted to start off by letting everyone know that it should be me in the wedding dress, not Hannah. Matthew has been mine longer, and Hannah is not respecting my dips. I’ve known Matthew for—I don’t even know how long—and he has genuinely been the best friend someone could ask for. I’ll always remember our probably-not-the-smartest spontaneous trips and our accidental broken language. Matthew’s patience in being my friend over the last however many years should not go unmentioned. Seriously though, I’m super excited for these two. They’re perfect for each other, and I’m honored to be Matthew’s best man.

Hi, I’m Natalie, and I am SO excited to be standing next to Hannah as she takes this next big step in life! I’m currently attending Lansing Community College and majoring in conservation and sustainability. I enjoy any time out in God’s beautiful creation, whether that’s hiking, fishing, kayaking, or longboarding. I met Hannah a little over a year ago at the Young Adult Bible study group at our church (The River Church, you should check it out!). She is genuinely such a bright and beautiful soul and such a blessing to be around. Her and Matthew’s relationship is such a wonderful and God-honoring thing to witness, and I cannot wait to see how these two grow as a couple in the future!

Matthew and I first met my sophomore year when his family visited the river church in burton michigan. We instantly hit it off talking about everything and anything. Some of my favorite memories with matthew was when my sister and I would visit his mom’s antique shop and we’d go behind the shop to a wooden old school play ground and “attempt” parkour. Another memory I have was working at New Life camp with him. We did everything from staying out way past curfew watching the stars in the soccer field, late night swimming out on the dock and even getting yelled at by Jim Mann. I’ve been with matthew through a lot…. different hair phases, different girls, but no matter what, we’ve always stayed in touch. Matthew is the type of guy you can go months or even years without seeing and when you reconnect you pick it up right where you left off. Hannah is such a lucky gal to be with this stud! He has such a genuine heart for the Lord and I love seeing his servanthood in the church. I’m so proud of this guy and all that’s he’s accomplished. Being a part of his special day is such a privilege and i’m honored to stand with him .

Hi, I'm Marissa! I’m Hannah’s big sister, and it’s been such a blessing to watch her grow into the amazing woman she is today. I’m so glad she found Matthew, and I couldn’t be more honored to stand by her side on such a special day. A little about me—I'm currently a student at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). When I’m not studying, you can usually find me outside soaking up the sun, whether that’s going for walks, longboarding, or playing a round of disc golf. I’m beyond excited for Hannah and Matthew as they start their life together—these two are truly something special!

Hi I’m Paul! I met Matthew at the river church. Our friend Anna kept telling me for weeks that I needed to meet Matthew — she was sure we’d hit it off, and she was right. We started working together at Mount Holly and had a blast. Our boss Brad loved us (probably because we actually made work fun) it felt more like hanging out with him than actually working! Beyond that, we bond over music and spent a lot of time with Marc and Ethan jamming at Ethan’s little cabin or at New Life Camp growing in our faith. I’ve always admired Matthew’s walk with Jesus — he’s steady, genuine, and it shows. Couldn’t be happier for him and for Hannah- she’s great, they make a perfect pair and I can’t see wait to see what God is going to do in their life and marriage.

Hi I’m Emilou, I am so excited to be able to stand by Hannah as she is marrying my brother. Hannah is the sweetest, and Matthew and her blend so well together! The first time I met Hannah was at a bonfire. Matthew and her talked all night. I could tell that she was so strong and so intelligent that night, but it wasn’t until later that she would become Matthew’s girlfriend (but not too much later). Hannah is so funny and so sweet, plus all the side comments we make together will have both of us giggling at the dinner table or wherever. When I’m not with them I work in costumer service and sell handbags, plus always love a little beauty along the way. I seriously can’t wait for the big day and to gain the best sister-in-law a girl could ask for.

Hello everybody, supposedly, this brother of mine is getting married, which I think is a lie? Because I don’t see a huge engagement ring on my finger, or a manly dress in my closet ready for OUR big day… HAHA On a more real note, I have known Matthew for about 15 years now, we’ve spent most of our younger and teen years together, always trying to convince our parents to let us sleep over, or trying to get one more minute at someone’s house. Even though Matthew is older than me by a year, it has been a blessing to be a part of his journey, and I’d like to think he’d say the same for me! Watching him overcome and conquer so many battles some people would never even think he battled because of his constant and never ending positivity and kindness towards others. His strong faith in Jesus Christ is a symbol of how strong our Father is, and how much power he has in our life, and Matthew is truly one of the BEST examples of a young Godly man, and soon to be amazing father (I hope to be an uncle). I am so excited and happy for Matthew and Hannah just as equally, I pray that God is over both of you, above your marriage, and your new family you are creating. I pray you put God before each other, and also apply him to every part of your marriage. I love you both, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to celebrate you, and be apart of this beautiful next chapter of your lives <3

Hi, I’m Mariah, I’m one of Hannah’s bridesmaids! As sister-in-law of the bride, I am so blessed to be able to stand with Hannah on her wedding day. I met Hannah all the way back in 2017, when I started dating her oldest brother Josiah during my freshman year of college. Hannah was this sweet, sassy middle schooler who very quickly became the baby sister I always wanted. I have so many fun memories with her: getting boba tea and playing Pokémon Go, or making slime and posting the videos on Instagram, as she planned out the logistics of what she was sure would become our joint slime-selling small business. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of watching Hannah grow up, from a spunky, self-assured little pre-teen into the confident, driven, self-assured, ridiculously intelligent woman she is today, and I couldn’t be prouder to be her big sister (*in-law*, but still!). Couple fun facts about me- I’m a social worker by day, amateur digital artist/fake gamer girl by night. I have two beautiful cats, who my life revolves around. I love listening to emo music, Taylor Swift, and female rappers (Nicki in particular). And I’m honored to stand by Hannah on her special day, and can’t wait to officially add Matthew to the family!

Hello! My name is Dillon and I’ve known Matthew for roughly 15 years now. I remember the day we met like it was yesterday. My Mother and I were hosting a yard sale at a new house which was right across the street from Matthew’s. Mrs. Wendi came over and began talking with my mom, she then invited me over to meet her son who was roughly the same age. I did not realize that I would meet my older “brother” that day, but feel so extremely blessed I did. We spent countless hours hanging out, playing video games, playing at the park, and making other memories that I deeply cherish. I am so thankful I was asked to be apart of this new chapter he is beginning with Hannah.

I met Hannah about a year and a half ago and the way I’d best describe her personality is literally like… sunshine. Hello, I’m Haley! Being one of Hannah’s bridesmaid’s makes me so happy and holds a special place in my heart. I met Hannah at Thursday night Bible study through The River Goodrich. Hannah was actually one of my very first friends I made at bible study (forever thanking you for simply talking to me). We connected on many different things with the biggest being our love for the medical field. Since we first met I’ve looked forward to every Thursday night so much more because I know there will be so much laughter, joy and the love of friendship Hannah brings with her wherever she goes. Outside of our friendship you would find me working my job as a Medical Assistant, dog sitting or at the mall because your girl loves to shop! Hannah I am so happy for Matthew and you on this next journey of your lives! I can’t wait to see all the amazing things God has in store for the both of you!
