Fairbanks International Airport

We suggest that you stay in Fairbanks or North Pole: Fairbanks is 1 hour from the Lake, North Pole is 30 minutes from the Lake. There is not much out at the Lake other than private cabins. Most tourist activities are located in Fairbanks. Regardless of where you stay, you will likely need to rent a vehicle to get around.
