This is one of our favorite spots for a nice dinner. It's Italian fare with a farm-to-table philosophy, with their menu changing daily. Their waiters are wonderful and the food is incredible. We recommend making a reservation if you choose to eat here.
CHERRY FLAVORED EVERYTHING. From pretzels, to sour candies, to salsa, to wine; Traverse City has earned its nickname the Cherry Capital. If you want some yummy snacks and souvenirs to take home, make sure to stop here. They also have a free wine tasting to enjoy.
Matt and I really enjoyed this quaint little creperie during our last visit. They make them fresh so if it's busy you might have to wait a little, but it's very worth it. It's located right in downtown Traverse.
If you have the time and you're up for the challenge, definitely check out the the Sleeping Bear Dunes, dune climb. You can simply climb the dune or if you have 3-4 hours make the trek all the way to Lake Michigan. Just be warned the Dune Climb and hike will test your physical abilities. The hike will take you up and down numerous sand dunes. Bring water and wear sunscreen!
This has been a must-do for Matt and I since he started coming to Traverse with me in 2017. You can either play the original course or test your skills and patience with Blackbeard's Course. Plan accordingly, the course can fill up quickly during the busy season.
Hands down the best ice cream in the midwest. Make sure you make a stop here if you have a sweet tooth. You can grab ice cream and then sit outside and enjoy a view of the bay.
Traverse City and Suttons Bay have a large array of wineries. This winery also happens to be Madonna's dad's winery. Although I don't drink wine, I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, and was able to get cider. The winery is a smaller venue so space is limited.
