FAQs

If you have any other questions other than the ones we've listed below, please reach out to Chantelle at 647-214-1704!
Question

What kind of reception are you hosting?

Answer

We’re hosting a cocktail-style reception rather than a sit-down dinner. This means guests will primarily be standing and mingling throughout the evening, though there will be some seating available. There will be plenty of drinks and food, including delicious canapés, grazing tables, and food stations- so you definitely won’t go hungry!

Question

Can we use our phones during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you enjoy an unplugged ceremony, so no phones or cameras during the ceremony, including our exit. We want everyone to be fully present in the moment with us. Our professional photographer and videographer will capture it all, and we’ll share those memories with you afterward. Once the ceremony is over and you’re out of your seats, feel free to use your phones and take photos throughout the night!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly ask our guests to follow a formal dress code for our special day. We’ll have slippers available for anyone wearing heels who wants to dance the night away with us.

Question

Are kids and plus ones invited?

Answer

We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. Due to limited space, we’ve thoughtfully curated our guest list to include our closest family and friends. As for plus-ones, if your invitation includes a guest, it will be clearly indicated. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you attend solo. Thank you so much for understanding! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Where can we park?

Answer

For the ceremony at Spadina House, paid parking is available at Casa Loma, or you may find free street parking in the residential area around Spadina House. For the reception at Peter Pan Bistro, there is a Green P parking lot located at 10 Soho Street (Toronto, ON M5T 1Z6). Street parking is also available along Queen Street.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, so guests will need to make their way from Spadina Museum to Peter Pan Bistro on their own. The venues are quite close—about a 10-minute drive or a 30-minute commute using public transit and walking. If you’re taking the subway, hop on at Dupont Station and get off at Osgoode Station. If you plan on drinking, please do not drive. We encourage you to use Uber, a taxi, or the TTC to get home safely.

Question

Is the wedding accessible for guests with limited mobility?

Answer

Spadina House is accessible and does not require any stairs to enter or move around the main space. However, the washrooms are located downstairs. Peter Pan Bistro does involve stairs to enter and is unfortunately not fully accessible. If this might be a concern, please let Chantelle or Matt know, we're happy to help make arrangements to ensure you're comfortable.
