This a clothing optional hot spring located about 20 minutes from the venue. It's $10 per person and parking is pretty limited, especially on the weekends. If you plan to go make sure you wear proper footwear as there is about a 1/4 mile hike to the hot springs. Once you get there there is a bench and covered area for you to put your stuff (make sure you bring a towel!). There is a pit toilet along the trail on the right (as you are walking in), about 500 feet prior to the hot springs. There are 3 tubs that go from hottest to coolest from right to left. Service can be spotty here, so make sure you plug it in prior to leaving the venue!

Tamolitch Falls (Blue Pool) is located about 20 minutes upriver from the venue. It's about a 4 mile hike round trip to the falls. Rated moderate. There are some rocky and uphill portions so make sure you have proper footwear. The service here can be spotty!

Clear Lake

Located about 30 minutes from the venue, clear lake is one of the clearest and coolest lakes in the USA. There are row boats and kayaks you can rent for the day, a day use area with picnic tables, and a 5 mile, easy/moderate hiking trail that goes around the lake called the Clear Lake Loop trail.

Sahalie falls is a gorgeous waterfall located right off of 126, about 25 minutes upriver from the venue. You can drive up to the parking lot and the water falls are located about 500 feet from the parking lot. There are some stairs down to the main viewing point of the stairs. You can also access these falls on a short hike called the Waterfalls Loop Trail which connects Sahalie and Koosah Falls. Service can be spotty here!

Koosah Falls is located about 25 minutes upriver from the venue. You can access these falls off of 126, there should be a sign that reads Ice Cap Campground/Koosah Falls. This is also the trailhead for the Waterfalls Loop Trail, which is about 2.5 miles round trip that leads up to Sahalie Falls. Service can be spotty!

Belknap Hot Springs is an established resort with hot spring pools. You can walk-in and the rate is $12/hour and there are $2 towel rentals. Day use is permitted from 9am-5pm. There are also beautiful hiking trails and gardens throughout the property.

McKenzie River Trailhead

The McKenzie River Trail is a popular backpacking or mountain biking trail that connects Clear Lake, Sahalie, Koosah Falls, and Blue Pool. The total trail is 26 miles, however, you can do portions of it from Clear lake to Sahalie or Koosah Falls in a day. Consult AllTrails for more details.

Dee Wright Observatory

Dee Wright Observatory located off of 242, which is only open during the summer months. This observatory was built out of volcanic rock and located amongst fields of volcanic rock. The road is narrow and curvy, but the 360 view of the cascades from the top is worth it. The path to the top of the observatory is paved but is a bit of a climb. There is also a half-mile Lava River paved interpretive trail which can be accessed from the observatory.

The last Blockbuster is located in Bend, Oregon which is about an hour and a half from the venue. Bend has a fun brewery culture and good food and recreation for those trying to make a day of it!
