Matt took Audrey out to eat for mother's day, then afterwards took her on a drive under the guise of wanting to show her where they were doing the archery golf in Eagle Mountain. Loving the drive and views, Audrey was puzzled when Matt suddenly stopped the car and suggested they get out. She got out and when they had talked a bit, he asked her to look away towards the hills without turning around. Now extremely confused, yet trusting, Audrey stood without looking back, though hearing a lot of rummaging going on in the background which made her madly curious! Then Matt asked her to close her eyes and turn around. Slowly she did and when she was told to open her eyes, lo and behold! There before her knelt the man whom she loved completely, dressed in his knights helmet and sword by his side! He reminded her of a small gift she had gotten him previously, a figurine with knight and princess. She had told him then that he was her "knight on not so shining armor..." because he was battle worn by life, yet she treasured every nick and dent because it made him who he is and made him all more the wiser. Her dress, although not new and rather battle worn itself made them a good match, a pair. Because of this, Matt had spent much time handcrafting his helmet... knowing how he would propose. Now, reminding her of her gift, he asked her to be his bride.... and she said yes! This was the proposal, and now you, their friends and family get to watch an integral part of their story unfold!
