Our Story

Angelina and Matthew met in high school as a freshman and sophomore, becoming instant friends who found any excuse to spend time together after school. As their friendship grew, Matt got a little quieter—clearly up to something—and Angelina, not one for waiting around, took matters into her own hands. On July 18, 2016, she asked him to be her boyfriend, a move he’s never quite lived down. What everyone assumed was just young love turned out to be the real thing as they grew up side by side and built a life together. From emergency medicine to theatrical makeup and wigs, they’ve supported each other through every dream. Nine years later, Matt finally got his chance to make it up to her. He concocted an elaborate ruse, sending Angelina on a scavenger hunt at Westbury Gardens that led her to a pond, where he finally proposed. Now, on their 10-year anniversary, they’re saying “I do”—still best friends, still making each other laugh, and just getting started.

July 18th, 2021 - Our 5 year anniversary

July 27th, 2021 - Our first vacation! Vermont

April 21st, 2022 - Matt's 1st lifesave award for his work in emergency medicine!

August 14th, 2022 - Our annual aquarium trip! Fun fact: admission to the aquarium is free during the week of your birthday. Since our birthdays are 2 weeks apart, we get in for free every August 14th!
