Starting our next chapter

It all started with a prompt about bookshelves. Right before New Year’s Eve 2022, Matt slid into Michaela’s Hinge profile with a witty comment, and suddenly, two stories began to intertwine. Their first date on January 6, 2023, set the tone: smart conversation, lots of laughter, and the spark of something worth reading again and again. Since then, their love story has been a true page-turner: meeting families, moving in together, living abroad in Germany, signing their first lease, adopting the sweetest pup (hi, Molly!), and traveling everywhere from San Francisco to Krakow. Whether it’s exploring a new bookstores or swapping the cheesiest pickup lines, they’ve found joy in every chapter. On September 27, 2025, Matt proposed at KibbitzNest—a bookstore, bar, and board game café where they’d shared one of their earliest dates. With Molly by their side, Michaela said “yes” to a lifetime of stories together. And while every page so far has been unforgettable, the best part of their story is still being written.
