Haberdish
Haberdish is a must-try when exploring NODA, an artsy neighborhood off the 36th St. light rail stop. Where Matthew took Susannah the night he proposed, this restaurant is known for its exciting cocktails and delicious southern cooking.
Seoul Food Meat Company
Eat at the restaurant Susannah and Matthew had their first date. A few blocks from the New Bern light rail stop, Seoul Meat Company is surrounded by bars, restaurants, and small shops. If you do go, you have to order wings, cheesesteak eggrolls, and get a pitcher of Sapporo beer!
US National Whitewater Center
This adult playground is about 20 min outside the city and close to our home. Matt ran his 50k here and Susannah teaches yoga here regularly. Take a walk, grab a meal, or maybe even go ziplining here.
NASCAR Hall of Fame
Adjacent to the Embassy Suites is this wonderland of all things speed! Matt recommends the IRacing Simulators and reminds you: if you ain't first, you're last!!
