Paige and Alisha first met during Alisha's first summer working at Camp Ida-haven. They became close friends quickly, and haven't stopped laughing and joking together since. They spent their last year of college at Walla Walla University as roommates, and it was then that Paige introduced the idea of Matt to Alisha and Alisha to Matt. The rest is history!
MaKayla Carter

MaKayla and Alisha became friends Sophomore year of college at Walla Walla University. They decided that they wanted to be student missionaries the next year, and wanted to go together! They are both so grateful that God allowed them to be teachers together, and they both learned a lot from each other. MaKayla and Alisha continue to stay close, as they start their teaching careers for life!
Lindsay Seibel

Lindsay and Alisha met at Camp Mivoden as campers many years ago, however, Lindsay doesn't remember this. :( The next time they met was at Upper Columbia Academy where they began their Freshman years of high school. Lindsay and Alisha realized they had many of the same hobbies, like basketball, piano, and eating good food. They became fast friends. Although they have had to live far apart these past few years, they will soon get to live closer to each other near the Portland area!
Michaela Paulson

Michaela, Alisha's wonderful, amazing, and talented sister. Michaela is two-and-a-half years younger, and is currently a task force dean at Gem State Academy, in Caldwell, Idaho. Michaela and Alisha grew up singing around the piano, playing dress-up and putting on shows for their parents, watching Disney movies, and borrowing each other's clothes. There is so much to say, and so much love between them.
Rachel Rogers

If you ever need a joke told to you, a back-rub given, or someone to play games with, Rachel will be there! Alisha and Rachel became friends at Upper Columbia Academy, Freshman year, and have stayed close ever since. Alisha can always count on Rachel to be there to laugh with and to watch Parenthood with. :) Rachel has also become recently engaged, so they have had lots of fun bouncing wedding ideas off one another.
Kaci Wiseman

Kaci Lynn. Alisha's on-again, off-again roommate for life. Kaci and Alisha became best friends in high school at Upper Columbia Academy, and decided then and there, they wanted to be roommates in college. They went on to become roommates for a summer picking blueberries, two years in college, and a summer at camp. Kaci and Alisha will never turn down a lava cake dessert with vanilla ice cream, a camping trip to an unknown place, or belting the Prince of Egypt soundtrack to the top of their lungs.
Vanessa Sandoval

Vanessa is Alisha's sister by choice. These two go WAY back. Starting in first grade, they both became fast friends when they were the only two girls in their grade. After that, it was sleepovers, camping trips, long talks on the phone every day, and becoming each other's best friend through thick and thin. Vanessa is one of the most loyal, adventurous, thoughtful, and sincere people in the world.
Emily Sullivan

Alisha and Emily met their Junior year of high school at Upper Columbia Academy. They could always count on one another to go on an adventure or get outside. One of Alisha's favorite things to do in this world is make Emily laugh really really hard. These two have made some awesome memories, which include riding in a van across the plains of Africa, exploring Hawaii, and trespassing on private property while trying to find a place to go snowshoeing.
Shannon Gaskill

Shannon and Alisha met at Upper Columbia Academy. They became friends, and stayed close in college. Although Shannon went to Spain for a year, Alisha went as a student missionary the year after that, and then Shannon left for nursing school the year Alisha got back, they stayed in touch and found ways to meet up and go on adventures. Shannon has always been so good at staying in touch, and one of Alisha's favorite things to do is to talk to Shannon on the phone about all the things!
CJ Anderson
Best Man
CJ is Matt's oldest brother and one of his wisest mentors. CJ and Matt both work at Adventist Medical Center in Portland and eat lunch together almost daily. Their conversations range from the Trailblazers, church, politics, and everything in-between. CJ is one of the most intelligent and funny people Matt knows. Look to 1 Corinthians 13 if you want to better understand CJ's characteristics.
Micah Anderson
Groomsman
Micah and Matt have been together since day one, literally since conception. It is likely that no one has spent more time with Matt than Micah, although Alisha may have something to say about that over the next 29 years of his life. Micah is always down for an adventure and will readily share original songs when slightly caffeinated. Most importantly he is loyal and Matt could not imagine a wedding day without him.
Aaron Smith
Groomsman
Aaron is Matt's cousin and 11-months his senior. They enjoy fishing, playing basketball, and weight training together. In between laughs they find time to talk about the important things in life. Aaron first met Alisha during a beach trip with friends and from that time on he asked Matt, almost weekly when Alisha and him were going to get married. It wouldn't feel right to have a wedding without him.
Danny Rogers

Danny and Matt met freshman year of high school and bonded on the basketball court. After high school they went to Walla Walla University together and continued playing intramural basketball together. The culmination of their time in college was Matt's last year when they lived together. Since that time they have stayed in touch and Danny and his wife Paige were key players in helping Matt meet Alisha.
Kyle Berg
Groomsman
Matt and Kyle first met in 2010 working at Sunset Lake Camp and became fast friends. Their friendship has had equal parts laughter and serious philosophical discussion. During their time as friends, they have never lived near each other, but the distance has only made the heart grow fonder. Their dream is to someday live in the same house, a dream Matt has not yet shared with Alisha.
Andy Jones

Andy and Matt met as lab partners in Biology freshman year at Walla Walla University. This partnership quickly grew into a friendship which included basketball, long boarding, and late-night fast food runs. Andy left junior year, but the two stayed in touch. They later reconnected while living in Loma Linda, California.
Mike Morauske

Matt and Mike met while in academy. They bonded on the bench of the JV basketball team during Matt's freshman year. Through the years they have played softball, acted in plays, and studied the Bible together. Mike has been a spiritual rock for Matt throughout the years, and always has a way of showing up at just the right time.
Kyle Marshall

Tale as old as time, Kyle has been like a brother for as long as Matt can remember. Though life has kept them apart at times, they always pick back up where they left off. Kyle is major cinephile and always has the inside scoop on upcoming films. In addition, he has an incredible wit and sense of humor. Matt is honored to have Kyle by his side on his wedding day.
Brett Jackson

Brett and Matt met during Matt's homeschool years when Brett's family moved to town. They became fast friends and spent lots of time together in Pathfinders and playing video games. In college they spent a year living together in the dorm. Brett is an incredible musician and great a great one to discuss finances with. Matt is glad to live near Brett and his wife Ashlee and looking forward to having them at his wedding.
