We technically met through mutual friends. Shoutout to Michael Sudol and Sofia Loucks for planting the first seed. It's because of them that we crossed paths and knew of each other, but we didn't really start talking until we were coincidentally seated next to each other in a Chili's Bar and Grill for an engineering club social. We talked like we had known each other forever. It was easy, natural, and perfect. It was at the very end of the semester, so we went home for Christmas break right after that social. We thought about each other for the entire break. It sounds dramatic, but we both knew there was something real there. So, the literal day we got back to campus, we made plans to see each other, and we've been inseparable ever since. Looking back, we're endlessly grateful. To our friends for the intro. To fate and timing. And yes... even to Chili's.

Nous nous sommes rencontrés grâce à des amis communs. Un grand merci à Michael Sudol et Sofia Loucks d’avoir planté la toute première graine. C’est grâce à eux que nous avons entendu parler l’un de l’autre, mais nous n’avons vraiment commencé à discuter qu’un peu plus tard… par pur hasard, en étant placés côte à côte lors d’un événement du club d’ingénierie dans un Chili’s Bar & Grill. Et là, nous avons parlé comme si nous nous connaissions depuis toujours. C’était simple, naturel, évident. Le moment parfait. Mais c’était tout à la fin du semestre, juste avant les vacances de Noël, alors nous sommes chacun rentrés chez nous. Pendant toutes les vacances nous n’arrêtions pas de penser l’un à l’autre. Ça peut paraître un peu théâtral, mais nous sentions déjà qu’il y avait quelque chose de vrai, de fort. Alors, le jour même de notre retour sur le campus, nous nous sommes revus… et depuis, nous ne nous sommes plus quittés. Avec le recul, nous sommes infiniment reconnaissants à nos amis pour cette première connexion, au hasard et au bon timing. Et oui… même à Chili’s.
