She’s been there for every chapter, from late-night homework sessions to adventures across Europe, always ready with encouragement and advice. At her own wedding in 2021, Britta introduced Mattea and Kobie, sparking the beginning of their love story. She’s known them both for years, watched them grow, and now gets to stand proudly with them as they start this next chapter together.

Kelsey and Mattea have been partners-in-crime since elementary school and haven’t stopped causing trouble together since. From surviving awkward middle school phases to their legendary trip to South Carolina, the two have shared more memories and inside jokes than they can count. She’s the friend who has seen it all, and now gets to cheer Mattea on in this next adventure.

Emily may have officially joined the family when she married Brandon, but she’s felt like a sister from the very start. She’s quick with a joke, ready with a hug, and is always there when you need her. Mattea is grateful for her constant support and so excited to have her by her side on the big day.

Abby and Mattea met in the NICU, where their shared sense of humor turned long shifts into something fun. Together they’ve survived countless nights fueled by candy and 3 AM laughing fits that made work fly by. Even outside the hospital, Abby keeps life just as entertaining, and she’s sure to bring that same energy to the wedding day.

Ellen and Mattea have known each other since Mattea was in high school, thanks to her being Kyle’s sister. Over the years they’ve shared plenty of laughs, adventures, and fun times at the lake. She’s the perfect person to help make the day smooth, stress-free, and full of fun memories.

Jordan has been part of Mattea’s life since childhood, growing up next door, hosting Bachelor watch nights and feeling like a bonus older sister. Mattea was Jordan’s personal attendant on her wedding day, so now it’s Jordan’s turn to keep Mattea in line!
Kyle Peterson
Best Man
Kyle has been one of the biggest parts of both Mattea and Kobie’s lives for years. He’s been friends with Kobie since Kobie was just 15, showing him the ropes at work, and he became Mattea’s brother-in-law when he married Britta. He even helped move their love story along by conveniently “inviting” Mattea on fishing trips she definitely wasn’t there to fish on. Having him as the best man feels like the perfect way to bring their worlds together on the big day.
Ben Anderson
Groomsman
Ben and Kobie go way back, first competing against each other in high school fishing tournaments before becoming college roommates and best friends. Since then, they’ve been fishing partners, hunting buddies, and have made more (possibly slightly irresponsible) memories than they can count. Ben has been by Kobie’s side for so many adventures, and now he’ll be there for the biggest one yet.
Brandon Schubert

Brandon may be Mattea’s brother, but he’s also become one of Kobie’s favorite people. They’ve bonded over fishing, the outdoors, and plenty of laughter on family trips. If anything goes off script on the wedding day, Brandon will definitely have a joke ready. Kobie’s glad to have Brandon beside him as he officially joins the family.
Mitch Anderson

Kobie met Mitch when he was 16 and they became coworkers, but their friendship has always been much more than that. Mitch has been someone Kobie can always count on and has been a steady role model over the years. He even played a key part in Mattea and Kobie’s story, letting Mattea “borrow” his phone to call Kobie back to Britta’s wedding after he tried to sneak out early. Mitch has been there from the very beginning, having a front-row seat to watching their relationship grow.

Having Kam as an usher was an easy choice. Kobie has known him for as long as he can remember, growing up together playing sports, hunting, fishing, and making lifelong memories. Kam is truly part of the family, and Kobie is grateful to have him play a part in such an important day.

Anthony and Kobie became friends in an unforgettable way, when he injured Kobie in hockey practice! Ever since, they have been like brothers, spending countless days at the rink or on the golf course with each other. Anthony is always the life of the party, and he will most definitely bring some fun to the wedding day.

Alex has been part of Kobie’s life since they were toddlers growing up next door to each other. Through countless hunting trips, fishing adventures, and years of friendship, Alex became one of the closest things Kobie ever had to a brother. Now all that’s left is making sure he’s awake when it’s time to walk down the aisle!

At just a few months old, Aria has already brought so much joy to our family. As Mattea’s niece, she’s quickly become everyone’s favorite little girl with her bright smiles, happy chatter, and determination during tummy time. Whether she’s spending time with her best friend, Copper, or keeping the whole family entertained, she brings so much joy wherever she goes. We can’t wait to have her as part of our special day!
