Yes! Our ceremony and reception will be held on the grounds of a Charlottesville vineyard. Rest assured our venue is a sprawling property with plenty of space to move around and a large tent to protect us from the elements.
Cocktail attire. As with any outdoor event, the ground may be soft so choose footwear accordingly.
You know us -- we are very social creatures! So, rather than spend our wedding day with all our friends tethered to assigned seats, we're opting for a cocktail-style "stations party" so we can maximize the mingling, noshing, drinking and dancing, and spend more time hanging out with the people we love. What does that mean? Instead of assigned seats and a plated meal, there will be lots of food served at stations all around the venue. When the time comes, grab a plate, grab some food, and spend time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones!
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes. Unfortunately, we are only able to host those guests formally invited due to Covid restrictions. We wish this were not the case. Paring down our guest list has been a painful process for all involved.
Yes. Check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the info you need. If you prefer to come and go on your own schedule, there's plenty of parking at the venue.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off!
Yes, there is plenty of parking available at the venue. After entering the property, bear to the left for the private events venue. Additionally, please drive responsibly if you choose to drive. We will also be providing shuttles from downtown Charlottesville.
Formal invitations will have an RSVP card enclosed. Please use these to respond by July 26th.
We understand and appreciate that you would like to take pictures to remember our special day. However, while you are taking pictures, please be courteous of our photographers. We are having an "unplugged" ceremony, so we asked that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and recessional.
We won't let it rain on our parade! In the case of precipitation, the ceremony will be moved to a large tent at the venue. Should there be a significant weather event (i.e. a hurricane), check our wedding website for updates.
Yes, there will be multiple food stations with a variety of offerings.
Rest assured we will keep you in the loop regarding any important changes on the wedding website. In the unfortunate event that we have to cancel or postpone our special day, we will also reach out to all guests individually to confirm a new date.
