Have you ever found yourself sitting in an airport on tinder waiting for your flight. Well, we have. August 16, 2020 was the day we matched on tinder. August 16, 2020 is also the day we had our first date. In the middle of a global pandemic. Our first date was the best worst date you could imagine. We arrived at The Cheesecake Factory in St. Matthew's to find out there was an hour wait. Because of the pandemic the mall was closed, and there wasn't anything around we could do to kill time. We decided to go to a near by park. We sat and talked for awhile. We missed the text saying our table was ready, and arrived 45 minutes late. Luckily, the table was still available when we arrived. From there, the rest is history. A few dates later (8.22, 8.23, 8.25, and 8.28 to be exact) and many much better date night shirt selections later (Matt hated the shirt Steven wore on the first date)— we finally made things official on September 12, 2020. We took a non traditional approach to dating. We bought house before we were engaged. We saw a future together, and we went for it. We officially married on July 15, 2022. We celebrate this legal binding love just one year later on our chosen wedding date of July 15, 2023.
