CAN-AM Wedding!

The day we met: Stephanie and her dad went fishing while on a family vacation in Miami. Matt was the Captain of the boat - it was love at first cast. He approached Stephanie professionally, asking her where she was from, and if she enjoyed catching fish. He later invited her up to the Capt's deck to show her the inside scoop and cool ship wrecks on the sounder. At the end of the day, they politely said goodbye, with no idea they would ever see each other again. This was silent torture... They never got the thought of one another out of mind. 4 days later, as Steph's dad made a quick stop by the Marina to buy bait, Stephanie spotted Matt down the dock, and approached him. They went out that Friday night. What was intended to be a night at the club, became a blanket on the beach. They stayed in touch after she returned to Canada, and ever since. Months later, they combined their squads on a road trip to Vermont. They received full approval from each other's friends. It was a natural fit, and the weekend ensued with lasting memories. All it takes is 'one American shot of Tequila', right ladies? For the next few years, Matt worked extremely long hours on the water, becoming a reputable Charter Captain in South Florida. In the meantime, as their love grew stronger from a distance, Stephanie finished her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy at Queen's in Kingston, Ontario. 5 long years had to go by, and countless trips back and forth the 1800 miles, before they could start their lives together in Florida. After enjoying their lives to the fullest in the same zip code, Matt decided to pop the question while on a weekend boat trip in the Bahamas. They now look forward to never having to spend another mandatory minute in separate countries ;)
