There are a lot of things to do in & around Phoenix so this is by no means an exhaustive list. If you plan to extend your trip and travel around Arizona or simply want more recommendations of places to go/eat in Phoenix, we are happy to share additional recommendations with you!

First Friday Roosevelt Row

333 East Roosevelt Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004

One of the largest, self-guided art walks (free) with an assortment of vendors and street food from ~6-10 pm the first Friday of every month

Hondo Rodeo Fest

401 East Jefferson Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004

"Three nights of rodeo performances including Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc, Tie Down, Breakaway, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. Watch them compete for their piece of a Million Dollar Payout. Concerts immediately follow the rodeo each night and a ticket will grant you full access to all of it for that day." On the Sunday after our wedding, Jason Aldean and Riley Green will be performing!

Uptown Farmers' Market

5757 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012

Our favorite Saturday morning activity! This farmer's market has 100+ vendors. Definitely come hungry as there are plenty of food options to try! The market is typically from 8 am - 1 pm.

Murphy Bridle Path

6005 North Central Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012

Our favorite path to walk/run on Saturday mornings! The path is a shaded, flat 5.3 mile dirt path out and back along a street with beautiful homes. Walk the path and then head over to the Uptown Farmer's Market on Saturday morning

South Mountain

Phoenix, AZ

Popular hike nearby Phoenix. Approximately a 15 minute drive from downtown Phoenix. If staying at Arizona Grand Hotel, it is walking distance. Our two favorite hikes are the Fat Man's Pass via Mormon Trail and National Trail to Mormon Loop. Dobbins Lookout is a popular spot to watch sunset (has a drive up option).

Piestewa Peak Trailhead

Popular hike nearby Phoenix. Approximately a 15 minute drive from downtown Phoenix. Our three favorite hikes are the Summit Trail (difficult), Nature Trail (Moderate), and Quartz Ridge Trail.

Camelback Mountain Trailhead

Phoenix, AZ 85018

Popular mountain to hike nearby. Approximately a 25 minute drive from downtown Phoenix

Papago Park

Hole-in-the Rock: enjoy breathtaking views from the top of this unusual rock formation in Phoenix’s Papago Park after an easy 10-minute hike from the parking lot. Approximately a 15 minute drive from downtown Phoenix

Desert Botanical Garden

Taco Boy's

One of our favorite restaurants to get tacos at! The Tempe location is larger and has a bar attached

The Vig (Fillmore)

606 N 4th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85003

Fun atmosphere with large outdoor patio and yard games and fire pits! There are multiple locations, our favorite is on Roosevelt Street.

PopStroke

A miniature golf course/restaurant/bar co-owned by Tiger Woods. There are multiple locations, one of which is Scottsdale.

Salt River Tubing

Float or kayak down the Lower Salt River. You may even see wild horses. Approximately a 40 minute drive from downtown Phoenix

Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Botanical garden outside of Phoenix with 5 miles of trails. An approximately a 50 minute drive from downtown Phoenix.

State Farm Stadium
