Matt and Nicky met after Nicky was invited to play for a co-ed soccer team Matt was on. After the game, Nicky asked the team if anyone wanted to go to a concert that weekend. Matt didn't really want to go to the concert but he did want her number, so he volunteered. Nicky, having been seduced by his soccer ability and effortless charm, ended up giving him her number. It took him 6 years to completely ruin that first impression... but she agreed to marry him anyways :)
