Change of Date

Don't worry! We are still getting married!!

Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our big day to 2026. This decision did not come lightly, but we are working through some unexpected life changes that would have made a 2025 wedding incredibly stressful... and no, those life changes aren't a baby on the way. Anybody who reserved a room already will automatically have their reservation moved to the same days (not dates) as the original reservation. So if you were checking in on Thursday and leaving Sunday, that's what you are booked for in 2026.

A Modern Love Story

All thanks to two right swipes

“There’s just something about her/him” It all started with two right swipes. Swipes which they’d both learn later were almost in the opposite direction. But, there was just something about her that drew him in, and something about him that did the same for her. And so they decided to take a chance and swipe to the right; "It’s a Match!” Now, for anyone who’s been in the online dating world, you know getting a match can be exciting. But mostly it’s just another person you’ll have a brief conversation with or maybe even a few dates with, and then ultimately go your separate ways…and back to swiping again. Like sitting at a slot machine, pulling that lever over and over, just waiting until it’s finally your turn to hit that jackpot. In this case, this particular match seemed destined for that same fate. They exchanged pleasantries and ultimately decided to meet. The Kwini Club Driving Range was the setting. Both are big into golf, so they thought why not start with something they both know they’d enjoy? He pulled in the lot, she was already there. He could see her walking across the parking lot towards him and thought to himself, “wow she’s even prettier in person. AND she’s a golfer!” He hurried out of his truck to greet her, but she was the one to speak first…"Ugh, I’m in such a bad mood and probably should have rescheduled.” And away they were on their first date. A bucket of balls and some practice chips later, the date hadn’t gotten a whole lot better from where it began and it was time to part ways. Both of them thinking this would definitely be the last they’d ever see of the other. But, there was just something about him, and something about her… She messaged him with an apology and her phone number hoping for the chance to have a do-over, and very shortly later, she received a text from him. There was just something that made them reach out to each other after that first date and decide to subject themselves to another date… and another… and another. And before they knew it, they found themselves in a full fledged relationship. They were meeting each other’s friends and families, taking trips together, going to concerts, playing golf, planning a future together. Falling in love. And it all started with those two reluctant right swipes. Neither could possibly know, or believe it if you told them at the time, that that flick of their thumbs would lead them here. But, there was just ALWAYS something about her…and something about him. That something that kept drawing them together from the very beginning has only grown stronger over time. They had both sworn to everyone they knew, for years, they’d never get married. That it just wasn’t for them. And yet, here they are taking that step that neither one of them thought possible… and they couldn’t be more excited to take it.
