Meagan's Favorite! Located downtown by Millennium Park, this top art museum is TripAdvisor's #1 Chicago attraction—a must when visiting the city. An art museum holding nearly 300,000 works from all over the world, spanning many centuries.
Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago
Matt's favorite! Questions should be celebrated. They have taken us to the Moon, cured diseases and squeezed the whole world into a phone. Science is the art of asking questions. At MSI, they’re dedicated to making curiosity feel at home.
Chicago River Boat Architecture Tours
Both of our favorite! Take an architectural boat tour to learn about and experience the vast architectural gems of downtown Chicago. Most boat tours are about 1.5 hours in length.
Shedd Aquarium
Shedd Aquarium is an indoor public aquarium. Opened on May 30, 1930, the 5,000,000 US gal aquarium was for some time the largest indoor facility in the world. Today it holds some 32,000 animals. If you know Meagan you know how much she loves visiting the sea otters.
Field Museum
The Field Museum of Natural History is one of the largest such museums in the world. From ancient cultures to the latest scientific discoveries, the whole world is at your fingertips here and don't forget to wave at Sue the T-Rex.
Adler Planetarium
The Adler Planetarium is a public museum dedicated to the study of astronomy and astrophysics. It also has one of the best and most unique views of the Chicago skyline.
Skydeck Chicago
Located on the 103rd floor of the former Sears Tower with clear observation boxes & views extending to four states. Beware those who have a fear of heights, or falling!
Salvage One
Our wedding venue! Salvage One is a converted warehouse with an enclosed garden courtyard. They are a retail store, an event space, a prop shop and a backdrop for many film and photography shoots. The store specializes in architectural artifacts, antiques and vintage furniture - keep an eye out of the life-sized wooden elephants! We fell in love at first sight and after two years of planning, unplanning and re-planning we are thrilled to make our Salvage One wedding dreams come true.
