Austin is incredibly busy during October, with many festivals and events taking place downtown. Wherever you choose to stay, we encourage you to book early! We've blocked rooms in hotels that are walk-able to the venue and many downtown sights and sounds, so if you're flying in, don't feel obligated to rent a car.
Hotel
The Omni Austin Hotel Downtown has a stellar downtown location, great rooms and nice views. The hotel is located five blocks from the ceremony and reception venue (.5 mile walk) and is steps away from the (in)famous 6th Street. This is where we will be staying! Hotel
The Extended Stay America is the closest to the venue, and the most basic and affordable option. It is only about a block away from both the wedding venue and rehearsal dinner restaurant. We've reserved a block of rooms at the Extended Stay America for the rate of $150 per night for a queen room and $165 per night for two double beds. On-site parking is available for $10 per day. Hotel
The Sheraton Austin has great rooms with a good downtown location. The hotel is a quick cab ride from the venue (1 mile) and just a few blocks from the Texas Capitol. We have a room block reserved at the Sheraton for a rate of $189 per night, with complimentary wifi and a reduced parking rate of $15 per night for guests of our room block. Wingz is a ride sharing service that allows you to pre-book rides to and from the airport. We use them anytime we need to get to the airport and have found them to be very reasonably priced and reliable! Hint: it's best to pre-book about 24 hours in advance. https://www.wingz.me/airport/aus/ Austin has plenty of ride sharing services operating in the city. Uber and Lyft are available, as well as our preferred service- Ride Austin. Ride Austin is a non-profit ride sharing company with good pricing and reliable service. Rides from the airport to downtown Austin are around $25-$35 on most ride sharing services. http://www.rideaustin.com/#introducing-ride-austin If the weather is nice, and you're looking for a good way to see the city, rent a b-cycle!
