Usually when people ask us where we met, Kim will mention that she was in the same graduate cohort as Matt's brother Ben. That's usually enough to satisfy people's curiosity. The REAL story, though, is that we met online! We had our first date at the Mews Tavern in Wakefield. On his way over, Matt texted Kim to let her know "by the way, my head is shaved" (it wasn't in his profile pics) to which Kim responded "Mine too". At some point in the night, Matt quoted an obscure line from the cinematic masterpiece "Billy Madison", and Kim realized that she might have found someone special. The rest is history!

Matt proposed in Lisbon during our first trip to Europe! Kim was suspicious that a proposal might happen, but had pretty much dismissed the idea. Then Matt mentioned offhand he had "something special" planned one day while we were out sightseeing. Then Kim was VERY suspicious. Then they got dressed for dinner and just so happened to run into a photographer that Matt hired to take "cute couple pics". Then Kim almost threw up with anxiety. He finally popped the question at a beautiful viewpoint over the city and Kim said yes (she thinks, she kind of blacked out..). It was a perfect day! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter with our friends and family :)
