Where should we stay?

Answer

There are a lot of AirBnbs/VRBOs in the area, some close enough to walk from. The Venue webpage has a really well-curated listing of lodging that they recommend. There is also a Quality Inn in Andrews, NC, about a 20 min drive and a Quality Inn or a Hampton Inn in Franklin, NC, about a 40 min drive.

How easy is it to walk around at the venue?

What should we wear?

Answer

Most of the activities will be outdoors, so something light and breathable with sturdy/stable shoes. The Welcome Dinner will be totally casual, the Rehearsal Dinner will be a little dressy, and the Wedding Day will be semi-formal, but still wear comfortable shoes. It would probably make sense to bring a light jacket as mountain nights can get chilly!

What does the weather look like in the smoky mountains in June? What if it rains?

Answer

Average highs during the day may reach the high 70s or low 80s, cooling off to the mid 60s at night. Weather at the venue can be slightly cooler due the higher elevation. The venue has a clear-view tent and rain curtains to make sure all the important bits are covered. While we can't control the weather, rest assured, we won't be rained out!

What kind of food will there be?

Answer

We are planning for there to be a lot of delicious food. Please include any dietary restrictions on your RSVP, so we can pass this information on to our caterer. There will be a lot of options and food will be served buffet style.

Gifts are not necessary. We really are looking forward to the pleasure of your company and celebrating our families coming together! If you still feel inclined to give we invite you to consider donating to one of the charities that are meaningful to us, listed in the registry.
