That said, we completely understand that traveling to the islands is both lengthy and multi-leg, and we don’t want anyone to feel pressured to attend if it’s not feasible. Flight
Information and Considerations
For guests flying in, the nearest airport is Pico Airport (PIX), located about a 20-minute drive from the venue and most accommodations. Flights from the U.S. will typically require a connection, usually through Terceira (TER), São Miguel (PDL), or Lisbon (LIS). Booking flights is typically cheapest in September and October of 2025, and rates are likely to increase as the wedding date approaches—steeply rising starting January 2026. Rental Car
Rental Car Suggestions
Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are not widely available in the Azores, and public transportation on Pico is very limited. Taxis are available for hire. Visitors who want flexibility to explore and get around easily will find that renting a car is the most reliable option. Rental cars on Pico Island—especially those with automatic transmission—are limited. We highly recommend booking your rental car as soon as your flights are confirmed to ensure availability and the best rates.
