FAQs

Getting there, what to wear, and other practicalities.
Question

What's the nearest airport to the venue?

Answer

We recommend: - Bradley International Airport in Hartford, CT (1 hr drive) - Logan International Airport in Boston (2 hr drive)

Question

What are the best ways to get there if traveling from out of town?

Answer

While the venue itself is only accessible by car, there are lots of ways to get into Western Mass. The Vermonter Amtrak leaves from NYC and stops through Greenfield, Holyoke, Northampton, and Springfield. You can also find buses to Springfield from NYC, Boston, Philly, and New Haven. We recommend ride-sharing, carpooling, or renting a car once you get into the area.

Question

Will there be a shuttle bus?

Answer

Those staying in hotel blocks will have access to a shuttle bus. IMPORTANT: The bus will only stop at hotels where guests are staying. So, if you're staying at any of the hotels we blocked, please let us know when you RSVP so we can ensure you have a ride.

Question

I'm not staying at a hotel with a hotel block. How can I get to the venue?

Answer

Looks like you'll have to walk! Hah, just kidding. But you will have to arrange your own transportation to and from the venue. We recommend: - Ride-sharing apps like Lyft or Uber (you should book these in advance) - Local taxi and car services (Celebrity Cab Company is a good option - Tel: 413.253.7330) - Good old-fashioned car-pooling Whatever you decide, please make your plans well in advance: ride availability may be limited during Western Mass's high season.

Question

Is parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes. There is a parking lot available for guests. You can leave your car overnight if you need to (ie, you did not succeed as a designated driver) and pick it up the next day.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting (ie, not raining), our ceremony will be outside. It will be held in a grassy area, and guests (if able) will walk down a grassy slope towards a graveled area for the cocktail reception. The dinner will be held under a tent (regardless of weather, but heated, if necessary), and dancing will take place inside. Weather permitting, there will be a bonfire set up outside during the dancing portion. We suggest bringing a layer for the outdoor portions and wearing somewhat practical shoes (or a pair to change in and out of for the outdoor portions).

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Although we love your children, our wedding is adults only.

Question

Who can I go to for any other logistics questions?

Answer

Matt and Jenny will not be very available to answer any questions as the wedding day approaches. Luckily, we have two wonderful brothers who will help you with any random questions you may have. Chris Ruenes: 215-264-5215 Zach O'Connor: 203-464-4310
