Bridesmaid
Allison is the friend who will support you through it all. Starting a new hobby as a 16-year-old exploring abandoned houses? She's right there with you, recommending garden gloves. Taking up fishing? She's coming with, but she's going to lay out and tan while you learn how to bait a hook. And yes, that's what Emma & Allison's Georgia days looked like! It's a type of friendship love that comes so rarely that you can't ever let it go, which is probably why this is her 10th time being a bridesmaid. To love Allison is to be loved by Allison, and you'll laugh every time you talk with her!
Bridesmaid
Not just the first friend Emma made at Villanova, literally the first PERSON she met there. In June of 2012, Emma spotted Raquel in a crowded room and knew she had to go sit by her because she just had a good vibe. The two became fast friends over a shared love of indie music, moving to a weird new state, and a desire to flip through the air. When they weren’t at cheer practice, they were dancing on top of trash cans at Matt & Kim concerts. Raquel has always been an adventure buddy and has helped Emma become a more confident and outgoing person, thanks to her friendship.
Bridesmaid
Lauren might be one of Emma's oldest friends - dating all the way back to Mrs. Eye's 3rd grade class! The two bonded over a love for Harry Potter and as they got a little older, spending too much time on AIM and MySpace. Emma feels lucky to have spent her summers growing up playing and (as they got older) tanning at the Brown's Farm pool with Lauren, even though the two of them never quite got the same level of tan as their friends!
Bridesmaid
Emma & Morgan were lucky enough to live a few doors down from each other their freshmen year at Villanova, giving them the perfect chance to bond over a shared love of Dave Matthews Band and starting weird group texts. One time, Morgan paid $9 to take a round trip bus from Buffalo to Atlanta to visit Emma for her birthday! Morgan’s wonderful wackiness has always inspired Emma to embrace her own weirdness and live authentically. Emma also likes to take credit for playing a big role in Morgan meeting her now husband, Andrew!
Bridesmaid
Kat has always been Emma's go-to adventure buddy! The two of them have gotten (multiple) cars towed for illegal parking in downtown Atlanta, explored Philly in a snowstorm, rang in a Nashville New Years, trekked through Utah's national parks, and celebrated Emma's 21st birthday in Rome, Italy together! Kat's zest for life and her love for her friends and family inspires Emma every day.
Bridesmaid
The first time Emma & Christina hung out, they were celebrating Christina getting her first ever internship, and decided to run around Villanova’s campus and climb a tree. Christina has always been Emma’s first phone call, whether it’s happy, sad, philosophical, or all of the above. Christina inspires Emma to stay dedicated to her passions, living every day to the fullest.
Bridesmaid
Emma and Monica met when Matt may or may not have invited Emma to crash Mon’s 26th birthday party. Luckily Monica is the nicest person ever and didn’t seem to be phased by a girl Matt barely knew showing up to her birthday! Emma and Monica quickly bonded over their experiences of college cheer and dance, love of sports, and Bachelor/Bachelorette watch parties. Emma would say that Monica is one of the best examples of a friend she’s ever seen, and she’s become a better person from having Monica in her life.
Bridesmaid
Emma feels so lucky to call Corey one of her best friends. Corey is the definition of beautiful inside and out. She is fiercely loyal to her friends and family, always cheering you on and hyping you up, something Emma greatly admires and has done her best to pick up in practice. Emma likes to think that she was the first person to tell Transfer Corey that she should be the next president of AXO, which of course she went on to do!
Bridesmaid
Kristine & Emma met and immediately bonded over EVERYTHING - writing, traveling, and all things vintage. Both writers and dreamers living in California, Kristine inspires Emma everyday to be her most creative and kind self. She's the kind of friend that you immediately feel at home with.
Groomsman
Bobby, Matt’s cousin from Cleveland, is probably the closest thing Matt has to a brother in the family. From an early age, Bobby and Matt were always more than cousins. They had a mutual love for all things sports, in particular baseball. Every summer there was camp at Camp Fitch and Camp Crosley and every winter there were family holidays where the cousins could hang out non-stop all week. Now years older, and maybe wiser, the mutual love of sports has taken on a new form of a mutual love of all things golf. So much so that Bobby and Matt couldn’t pass up an opportunity to play Pebble Beach and Spyglass pre-wedding. When in Rome (Monterey)!
Groomsman
Jack and Matt both grew up in Chicago but didn’t meet until USC where they became fast friends, and ultimately roommates senior year where they spent countless hours on their porch listening to The Beatles and talking about the rest of their lives. Despite having lived in different cities since college, they have always made it a priority to see each other, always finding time over the years to play some golf, catch a Cubs game or just have a lovely conversation.
Groomsman
Johnny Cox has the privilege of not only being one of Matt's best friends but also of being the Commissioner of the LOP, quite possibly the greatest fantasy football league in all the land. As commissioner and chief content officer, respectively, Johnny and Matt make quite the duo both in their fantasy football administrative duties and as old friends who always find a way to have a great time - golf in the summer, Springsteen at Wrigley, LaLOP, or just grabbing bagels, Johnny and Matt never miss a chance to maintain a rare friendship that has stood the test of time.
Groomsman
Davis and Matt used to call themselves the “Cool Dads” in college despite neither having any sort of child. But looking back, the name fit. Two dudes with cool dad energy who loved hanging out, watching sports, and just being overall chill. Another roommate of the senior year house, these boys knew how to party and knew how to hit the books when necessary, both embarking on similar career paths and always being present in each other’s lives.
Groomsman
Brendan "Moz" "Maws" Donley has been one of Matt's closest friends since the two were young freshmen at St. Ignatius, both Western Suburbanites, taking the BNSF train into the city each morning for another day of school. Maws and Matt quickly bonded over good ass music, Chicago sports and variety of other high school tomfoolery - planking, riding bikes, Pitchfork music fest, and Mozflower. Today, the two continue to surpass geographic boundaries through a love of recommending new tunes to each other. Unfortunately, the planking is now at a minimal.
Groomsman
Devon although taller than Matt and about the same age was technically Matt's "little bro" in Alpha Epsilon Pi. This felt more like a technicality though, really an excuse for two dudes who shared a lot in common to become even better friends. Devon and Matt were roommates senior year in college where they learned to fine tune their cooking skills, fine tune their snowboarding turns, and fine tune their skills at life. Since then, the two have enjoyed a number of trips snowboarding in Tahoe and Colorado as the boys continue to shred both their boards and their lives.

Anyone over the age of 25 knows that finding adult friends is hard! People have lives and stuff, it’s hard to just you know make new friends. But I’m here to say it is possible, and more so than that, possible to truly find people that become lifetime amigos. Enter Ryan Yancey. Ryan was a friend of best man Michael Wapnick who immediately said, “yo you guys should hang out you both like coffee and stuff”. Indeed it is true - Ryan and Matt share a love for the simple things in life - for all things coffee, a mellow vinyl record, a nice run in the morning (although please don’t ask who is faster, the answer is of course Ryan). And what started as a hey you guys both like similar stuff has now become a lifelong friendship of good coffee and good times.
Groomsman
Ryan "Rhone" Shannone was Matt's first true friend after college. The two met at a recruiting event for Barclays and not only did they hit it off at that first event, but a week later they found out they were the two candidates to get the job, kicking off a lifelong friendship. Through long long hours rearranging logos in PowerPoint and doing some graphs in Excel, Ryan and Matt bonded in the trenches of investment banking, in their free time exploring all that the great city of Los Angeles has to offer, most of it food related.
Groomsman
Cody Ankrim puts the "dank" in Dan Krim. Cody and Matt's friendship can be described in one word - "cloth" - as in cut from the same cloth. Cody and Matt are cut from the same cloth. They love coffee, food, scents from Le Labo, pillaging Constantinople, and bocce ball. The two never miss a chance to have a "cloth day" in which food is had, coffee is consumed, and candle burn rates are questioned. Los Angeles is better, and a more fun place for Matt and Emma with Cody in it.
Best Man
Michael Wapnick has always simply been Wap. Not like that. Or that. Wap was one of Matt's first friends at SC after the two played pool, found out they both loved baseball and started on the lifelong pursuit to stump each other on where a random athlete went to college. Matt's relationship with Wap has evolved from USC club baseball teammates to best friend at SC to post-college roommate to uncle to Sophie. The two spend as much time as possible together, constantly watching SC football, or any other sporting event for that matter, playing golf, crushing escape rooms, or still trying to find that perfect athlete where no one can remember where they went to college (DJ Moore, Maryland). It's safe to say Matt's life has been made better and more full by the lifelong friendship of Michael Wapnick.
