We loved the idea of a historic venue in a "quintessentially New England" town. The Hawthorne Hotel was the perfect location. Walking distance to all of Salem's greatest tourist attractions, the harbor, and plenty of delicious seafood and breweries, we knew our guests would be able to enjoy not just our wedding but a whole weekend here. The holiday season is Dina's favorite time of year, and Matt lives for the winter! We love that cozy, fireplace, hot chocolate kind of weather and hope our wedding weekend will be filled with all of our favorite things. It was important to us that our wedding feel like "us", and despite popular opinion-- we are just not beach people!
South Africa! And we couldn't be more excited! We will be spending 4 days in Cape Town, 2 days vineyard hopping in the Winelands, and 4 days on Safari in the Timbavati at Ngala Safari Lodge. Between the wine, the food, the views, and the animals-- it is going to be the trip of a lifetime! We are not leaving for our honeymoon until the middle of January, which will give us some time to enjoy our first holiday season as a married couple with our family!
No-- but don't worry the Salem Waterfront is walking distance from the Hawthorne Hotel. Just a few doors down! There is also parking available at both the Immaculate Conception Church, and the Hawthorne Hotel.
We love all of the kids in our lives! But due to limited space and a GIANT family, if your invitation did not specifically say "family" or your child's name, we'd prefer you leave them home for the festivities.
I wish we could say "the more the merrier!", but due to limited space and a GIANT family we will not be including "plus 1s" to this wedding. If your invitation specifies your date by name (indicating this is someone we know and love as well!), you are obviously more than welcome to bring them!
If you do have a food allergy, please reach out to Dina as soon as possible to let her know so she can work with the Hawthorne Hotel to try to accommodate your request.
Whoops! We had a typo on our invitations. The correct day is FRIDAY, December 7th, 2018.
